I made the mistake of watching Twilight before reading the book. I LOVED the movie, saw it numerous times in the theater, but I wanted to read the book. So I bought it and I'm only 20 pages in. The problem I'm having is that it's so different from the movie already. Has anyone read the book and seen the movie? Should I stick with the book and finish it?

I was one who read the books first. Then I bought the dvd as soon as it came out, and I really didn't think it made you feel the story the way you do reading it. Kind of a disappointment.

I would definately finish the book. I watched the movie last night, after just finishing the series last week. While not a BAD movie, it really didn't seem to flow as well as the book, maybe like they were just saying the lines and you didn't FEEL it the way you could reading it. (I hope that makes sense, lol). And, if you are only 20 pages in, it does pick up considerably after that!!

i prefer books than movies..
i watch twilight first before i read the novel..after watching i was inspired to read the book and it turned out that i love the book better than the movie.. unlike my other friends, they read the book first and were disappointed after they watched the movie..

I almost always read the book first. Books always have more details etc than the movies because yo0u can make a book as log as you want- can't do that with movies after all. For instance the Dune series by Frank Herbert- loved the book and the movie but the books were so much better.

Hi there! I'm like you, I've watched the movie before reading the book, but that's the reason why I want to read the book because most of the people said that the book is better. And it's true the book is better, I meant more details and I think you will like it also, so try to finish it! Actually after reading the Twilight I can't wait to get the other books as I wanted to know what happen, I am now just finished the third book and I tell you, I have sleepless night because I wanted to finish it, lol. I didn't get the last book because it was sold out and I'm going to check the book store today hoping that they have it now. Happy reading.

You should finish the book just to see how you like it. Although I haven't read the book or watched the movie, I've heard the book is better.
