Take Out The Trash?

hello katsmeow i empty my recycle bin everytime that i see something may be in it. and i do delete all of my read e-mail messages that i get and send to the trash can, on a daily basis. sometimes, i delete my e-mail messages three or four times a day. lol just depends. and i do delete my temporary internet files and the cookies on a daily basis as well, if not three or four times a day. lol and this morning, my laptop wasn't acting correctly, so i ran the disk defragmenter on it, (i hope that i spelt that correctly) and then i re-booted the laptop and the rest of the day today, knock on wood, i haven't had many problems with it at all, if any. i do think that doing these necessary things to our computers at least once a day, will aid in helping the computer to work faster and better like that it should. take care and have a beautiful evening.

I try and do it about once a week. At least the temp internet files and the recycle bin. And every couple of weeks I do a disc cleanup to clear out space, but I probably should be doing it more than that. It's easy enough to completely forget them, especially if you're always busy on the computer!

I only empty my trash bin when I have deleted files. I defrag and dump cookies, temp files, run scans and anti viruses, etc about 2-3 times a week. My email I don't dump. Just in case.......

I empty the recycling bin every time there is something in it. I probably clear my cookies once or twice a week. I used to do it several times a day when I was doing GPT stuff, but not so much anymore. As far as my email goes I very rarely think to go in and delete permanently the emails I delete.

I try to clean my computer up about once a week. I do a disc clean-up about every thre months.

I'm horrible about doing this. I keep telling myself that tomorrow I'll clean up the computer and get rid of old programs, documents, etc. But tomorrow just doesn't seem to get here...LOL

everytime i send something to the recycle bin or delete an email, then i permantaly delete my files. i don't want all that backing up.

I do not do these things as often as I should do actually. I have nearly 700 emails in my trash can at the moment and I cannot remember the last time I cleared my cookies and my computer is playing up a bit so I know that I need to do it soon. I just do not think about it, I will be moaning when my computer will not run properly!!

I empty the deleted emails probably every few days, but I very rarely look at anything else. I suppose I just do it when the computer starts to run a bit slowly actually. It's something I just don't really think about much.

I delete my trash in my email folder a few times a day. I just get tired of it looking DARK. I hardly ever put anything in the recycle bin on my desktop, so it does stick out if something is in it, so I just delete each time I see something in it. I occasionally delete the temp files and cookies. I use a program on my computer that cleans those up quite often and gets rid of other things as well as fixing problems in the registry. I love the program!

I actuallyt do this about every few weeks - at least once a month. The reason being is that my computer becomes so slow. Once I had nearly a thousand messages to delete and my pc was barely working! So from then, every few weeks or so.

I this a chore that anyone does? LOL, except maybe mums! i think we all see this as a mums job. I dont know why but i think we do. As i am living in my own house now and i have my own family, i take the trash out so, going against what i said, the man of the house is doing it here! I think we give and take to do chore around the house, but, she doesn't half moan when she has to do somthing! lol Dan Alldred

i often do that like 5 times in a week. cause it is really that i erase them so that i can free my computer of too unneeded data. so that my computer will run faster cause i don't have high computer speed because of the specs of my computer is not that big or high. anyways, though i am just using the computer for internet and not for downloading. i still need to save as much as data space or memory on it. sometimes i forget to erase it or many times actually. but when i notice that the computer is sluggish as you have mentioned then i will just remember to erase them.

As much as possible I clean my computer once a day to prevent it from running slower.

well, i take out my comuter trash almost every day. The recycle bin it`s empty always, because i really detele all that`s there every day. The cookies are so bad sometimes, and makes my computer so slow. My antivurus find a lot more than i can find for my own, and i delete them from my antivirus, but weekcly i make that manually too. I defragment my computer each 1-2 months, depending of how much "traffic" was in my computer. As about the mail, since yahoo added untimited space to our mailbox, i really don`t do that . Just when i want to search an e-mail from a friend or something like that. Then i`m getting mad, and i`m deleting almost all.

I take out the trash in my email every I sign up my email account, especially my yahoo account. It is because, there are hundreds emails over there from some mailing list, blogs, and friendster. I do not like the waiting mails and I do not have time to open it one by one. I also clean my trash bin in my laptop everyday hoho. I do not know why, i just like to see my bin empty hoho...
