do you set goals for how many posts you make and how many replies you make?
i dont normally set a goal.. i try to do atleast 2 new posts a day and atleast 10-15 replies...
but today i am going out on a whim based ona post i saw last night. it asked if it was possible to comment 100 posts in one day...so i am putting myself to the test. so far i have commented 81 and posted 25..
my goal is to comment atleast 100 and post 50...

Oh boy this is gonna read so sad ...
I've started keeping a spreadsheet, recording how many replies, comments on replies and new topics I've posted. I was aiming for 20 - 25 a day, to see how variable the earnings were. It came as a complete shock to me that yesterday, when I couldn't be bothered to post much, my earnings were the highest they'd been since I started!
It's a silly little exercise to beat my personal best. I'm that bored, me ...

no i never actually... i just want to have fun and relax here... so i don't want to put pressure to myself and set limits or goals here... i just take it easy and whatever earnings i get from here, i just treat it as a bonus... happy mylotting... take care and have a nice day...

I do try to start a least 2 discussions. After that, I am all over the place. I come and go off mylot off and on all day. I have no specific number in mind and dont really even know how many I do. I keep saying Im going to keep track but I never do. Its just fun to have some of the discussions.

I can never set a goal for myself....i give a respone to one or two disscusions and then don't feel to do it anymore...
But when i take a two three days break..have a nice day and nothing to do then i really start getting into it....All the responses i have given so far has taken me only three days( though i am a member for a month ). Its just i have so much things to do that after a couple of responses and comments i get reminded to do something else and then i switch over....like this is my third respone and already did a couple of comments ....i realise that its half past three in the morning and i have to sleep. Today i thought i would atleast give five responses but i can't cause i have to sleep....

I used to come up with different goals on MyLot from time to time, but I think I'd just get time when I sort of "dried up".
So then I wouldn"t j have any goals.

WoW ! that is great 100 posts , i can never do that. The highest that i have done in a day was 41 posts and that really was very tough...It is good to set goals and achieve it. I wish you all the best, probably by now you have already achieved your goal...

Oh yes I set goals, but quite unlucky to have it unaccomplished due to limited time. I can make 10 to 20 posts before but now can just make 5 to 10. I plan of trying to make 100 posts as well for a day but maybe it's not yet the right time. I'll just do whatever I can should there are enough time possible. It's right however to set goals at least you're reaching for a number that would do you good.

i do set goal... the fact is that goal setting works! people with goals succeed because they know where they are goin to its as simple as that.
for me goals can give me a trget to aim ... goals provide success mechanism with clear targets of my own choosing based on what is most important to me..also goals can help me concentrate my time and effort... i think it is important ...one major challenge we are facing today is hat ther are more things available for us to do than anyone copuld possibly attempt, let alone accomplish, in an entire lifetime, if we are not carefull, it is vey easy to diffuse our time and energy with many different trivial pursuits, aimless dstractions and general busyness....
But i understand why some people dont set goals... maybe because...
they dont have a good reason to set goals, ..or they dont know about it people dont set goals is that they dont realize the power and the value of goal setting as atool for success and high achievement, ... or maybe they dont know how to use it.. many people think they have goals, but what they really have are just wishes you ask them what theyr goals are and they say something vague and generic like " i want to be rich" "i want a better job" " i want to be rich" those are good dreams to have, but they are not goals i think we should learn sometimes difference between wishes, dreams, and goals,... and the last is Fear, fear is the powerful emotion that can help us in many circumtances, but also can be distractive and paralyzing others...
eventually , most of the people can simultaneously pursue one or two large goals in every important life without feeling overwhelmed. they just need to get there gradually to avoid straining their goal setting " muscles"..

I don't have a set goal. My goal is to just get here everyday! Right now, that is the only goal I need. Once I get here, I just reply and post until I am ready to go to bed, then, right before I log off, I try to remember to check and see what I have done. Some days its more than others.

In the beginning I sometimes made some goals for myself. I once decided that I wanted to write 100 posts on one day, but that goal turned out to be a little too optimistic for me, so I changed it to 50 posts instead of 100. Even 50 was too optimistic, and I never managed to write more than about 30 posts Now I have quit the goals, and I have decided to write as many posts as I want to. Sometimes I write 2 posts and sometimes I write 25, but I don't make goals anymore.

Well I don't specifically set a goal, but say when I reached 500 posts and 1000 I was happy about it and it was a achieved goal for me, but I didn't actually plan the goal, if that makes sense?

I don't usually set goals but I'm thinking of having one, one of these days after I arranged my daily schedule. Last week I tried to have atleast 10 replies and I succeeded. After I ironed my time table I will be able to schedule mylot work (: I don't post just for the sake of posting I post to the topics where I'm really interested.

I don't really set goals for how many posts i make everyday. But I'm thinking of challenging myself to post at least 50 replies,i hope i can reach my goal so that i can increase my earning as well as to enjoy reading and learning from other opinions.
