I have in the past. When I first got my Chihuahua, I took her with me because she was so small, and she stayed under my desk, of course it helped that I was the boss. As she grew, I left her at home. The vet said the Chihuahua's need to be socialized so that they won't be yippy, barky dogs, so I socialized her and she is the quietest thing you'd ever want to meet.

I personally do not however I work at an Animal Emergency clinic and a lot of my co workers do because of the long hours we work.

No, I never have, but my last place of employment, the boss had her dogs in the building each day. They were mostly sleeping though when I was there.

I don't. But the owners of the company bring their dog with them and she hangs around the building all day. She's sort of the company mascot.

no, but my boss has, and it's annoying. The dog doesn't stay in his office, it comes out and comes up to your desk, sniffs at you, it's annoying......I think it's a major distraction.....

No, I don't take my pet to work. Our cat would get lost. She likes to explore everywhere. I don't know anyone who does take their pet to work. I'll ask around.

I have known of places where people do that. I think if the animal is well behaved and no one has allergy issues it can make people more happy and productive workers as well as making the pets happier.

Yeah I agree. There should be some ground rules about bringing pets to work. Like they need to be supervised so that they don't disrupt other people and the owner should really consult his coworkers if workspace is tight before he/she brings in the pet. Common courtesy goes a long way.
