Me and my family were once served an Indian dish by the Indians at a motel. It was white and soft. It looked like grits, it had this texture. But the taste was different from the way it looked. It tasted mildly sweet, like coconut. And it was soft. It looked like grits but tasted like sugar and coconut. My husband asked the little Indian boy what was the name of this dish. The little boy told him the name, but he can't remember what he said. I was on the Internet trying to search for this dish. Without the name of it, I can't be too sure what it may be called. All I know is what it looks and tastes like. Does anyone know what type of dish/dessert this is? I am assuming that it is a dessert, being that it is made sweet. It is also thick in texture too.

I know this might not work but if you have the name of the motel or a receipt from the place. Call them and ask them. If you don't then remember where you went and then look up the name and number on the internet. Your bank statement might tell you if you wrote a check or used your credit card. Try that and ask the Indians in the motel. Good luck!

Maybe it is a simple halwa. This is basically made like a really thick malt-o-meal or cream of wheat. Very delicious, it can be made in many flavors. Hope this helps!
