If you were talking to someone and noticed that there breath smells like an animal just went poooh in there. Would you....?
Tell them politly
search franticaly for a piece of gum to give them
back up slowly
or something else.
I have been put in that situation before, I always carry gum with me (BIG RED) and I will offer the gum in hopes that they take it.

I hate it when someone wants to get right in my face to blow their bad breath. My husband is often guilty of this. I carry a pack of mints around with me, and when I notice he's having the problem, I offer him one. With strangers it's a bit stickier. My response is generally to get away from them as fast as I can. If that's the coward's way out, then so be it.

I usually just politely turn my head & try not to breathe the air they're puting out. LOL Sometimes, if I have it, I'll offer gum or mints or something.

I often faced this situation but i neither any gum nor told to that person. I had a friend and also she is my friend yet too and i never told that i feel dirty smell from her face. We talked in our school by closing our face so that our teacher may n't notice us but i felt dirty smell from her face and said to her that no, we'll talk latter instead of right now. I only asked to her that which toothpaste does she use????? I am sure that she understood the real situation by mine this question.

Well, first I would pray that I had my purse near me. And then go for the gum. But not to be mean or obvious about it, I would take a piece for myself first and then offer them a piece. But the downside is when you work in customer service (ranging from all types of job positions) you always get the one customer a day that has that nasty smelling breath, and you can't do a thing about it because it would be considered "unprofessional", and where ever I have worked, we were not allowed to chew gum, so I had to suck in my breath and pray to God that they would hurry so that I could breathe again!!! LoL!!!

I hate being rude to people. So, I would leave it alone. Say what I want to say and get away from the person.

LOL...I will have to say that when you are in fact placed in a situation such as this it is extremely awkward and uncomfortable for both people! It is the right thing to do to try to warn the person that their breath in fact smells bad! It is however very hard to do for example if you are in an interview! It is sort of hard to offer the person that is interviewing you a piece of gum without seeming rude! In that situation would you still offer the gum or tell the person that is interviewing you?

It would depend on who I was talking to. If it was a friend or relative I would tell them their breath was funky AND give them a piece of gum or mint. If it was someone like my boss or doctor or someone like that I would just slowly back up or try to hold my breath.

it would depend on how well i knew them, i would tell a close friend but not a stranger
