I don't know if anyone else has had a problem with Internet Explorer. I have not been able to load the pages and it's been most of the day many times.
When I was able to get in the letters I typed and spaces I was putting in just were not coming up. In one sentence I was missing most letters that I typed and many spaces too.
I even watched what I was typing to make sure I wasn't missing the keys. I was not they just weren't showing up.
I finally got fed up with this and downloaded Firefox to my new laptop. It came with IE.
Immediately all of the problems I was having with IE just disappeared under the Firefox system.
I must apologize for any and all mistakes in my post lately.
Has anyone else had this problem or any others with IE? I do like Firefox better, do you?

I had to change to firefox as well. My problem was different than yours. I would write my post or response and before I was done poof and it was gone then I'd have to start all over again and now firefox is doing it too only not as often??? I don't get it.

Have you downloaded things I can't think now....for windows? It might be a windows problem, if you don't have viruses.
I know that firefox is better than most things we have available now.

Then I'm thinking a windows problem because I know definitely I do not have a virus.

Now frm a long time im using opera and i have not came across any kind of problems with opera, i use firefox also it is also good but i alwayz prefer opera as my default browser. If you want opera You can download it for the following link, it is opera's official site.

Thank you so much for your input on this. I have never heard of opera before. I have heard of another one that someone said they use but for the life of me I don't remember what it was, lol.
So, do you like opera much better than Firefox? What are the perks compared to Firefox?
I have used firefox for quite sometime even though some of the other sites I work for only work with IE.
I do plan to write to them asking if they will let us use other browsers. I may offer us opera as a suggestion too. I will certain ask for them to include firefox.
Thank you so much for the link.

I prefer opera most then firefox, becoz i think that firefox is littel slow, it exerts more bandwidth and do online updates and because of that the browsing speed is slow, and in opera the back and forward buttons works more fast then firefox as it contains all the data in the chache folder in the application data.

Thanks for the info. I understand why you use opera now. I myself have not experienced any slow time with anything to do with firefox. I will let others in the family know about the link as well as Chrome.

I find both the programs valuable on their own but they two don't seem to work well together on any computer. Whenever I open the two browsers at the same time, the computer slows down terribly regardless of hardware configuration. I had used FF heavily in the past, then I switched to IE7 and used it until pages started to open up more and more slowly. Recently, I had enough of IE and got back to FF which now works very fine for me, with no IE running parallel. Opera can a great program but there is only one problem (for some it may be a big plus, I know): it does not keep in memory the login data for quick, automatic entry. Other than this I agree this is a great program.

That's the problem with IE,if it starts out okay then it messes up soon. I've only had this computer for a couple of months and IE7 has been a pain in the bottom for most of that time if not all of it.

Yes, I know they have lots of add ons and I changed the color of my page. I'm using the dusty tan color. It's so much easier on my eyes. I can manage everything around in here much better.

Another thing that's superb about FF, that IE7 doesn't have, is the ability to store in memory all the tabs and have them run the moment you launch the browser again, Plus the ability to download and install/remove tons of add-ons and gadgets, some of them being rather trashy or irrelevant but most of them really great is something that IE hasn't had and will not have until BG changes his mind about opensource cooperation. Which won't happen very soon for all I know.

Sometimes there is an extra step to loading something like that with games onto firefox. But it's not a hassle to have a really good program to use.
Thanks for your input.

I have also had many problems with the explorer not working. It will take me several tries to get it to open. It will act like it is loading and take forever and never load and just stay blank. I thought it was my computer and I am sure glad to hear that it is not.

hello travi, yes it's probably your IE. I suggest that you downlaod firefox as soon as possible. Many people that I know uses it with no problems.
I had the same problem with IE as you. I've also tried downloading patches and fixes for it and it's still not good. SO out with it and back to firefox.
Good luck.

I use Internet Explorer all the time and I'm currently using version 7. I personally have never had any problems with it and I'm more than happy with the way it handles itself. There are things that you can do to make sure that your Internet Explorer runs at its best. There are things like always getting rid of the temporary Internet files as well as clearing all the cookies and browsing history. Over time, your browser will slow down if you don't do any of these things. Anyway, good luck with Firefox. Andrew

I have used firefox several of times...my whole family and many friends uses it and we have not had problems with it. However, we have had many with IE.
I'm so glad that you have not had problems with it.
We do maintain our computers.

I used to use IE, but right now I'm a fan of FF3. I'm using FF for half a year now, and very satisfied with it.
I'm not IE fan, it's slow and when using it I got several virus and malware attack, yet I'm using a last updated anti virus.
Never regret that switch to FF, FF is definitely advanced than IE.

Is your fire fox working well now?You are luck enough. It might be a problem with windows update and might not with IE. If you wish to use the IE in future again, Install the latest version and very ofter clean the IE temp.files, cookies, and system temporary files. I am having both the browser in my system and recently facing problem with firefox loading and that too due to the virus attack. I have to reinstall the OS very soon.

I am still using firefox as of this morning. I do keep my computer totally cleaned out as I do everything a couple of times a week or more. I still have IE as a couple of places I work for requires it.
I have no problem with windows as I update things frequently from there. I don't have viruses either. I have 2 programs I use for checking that. Norton and AVG. Between the two of them my computer is checked twice daily.
Thank you for the info.

IE sure had its share o problems. I agree Firefox is the better application of the two. But IE wins it on compatibility with most of the websites. Try to keep your browser clean by deleting cookins and temp files.
I like Chrome the best, the application has a smart interface and loads webpages faster. You might want to that out only if you have Vista.

I don't have Vista, I don't want that program. I have windows pro. I have not heard of or tried Chrome. That is a new one on me.
I haven't had a problem with firefox at all it loads immediately. The only thing is a couple of sites I work at wants on IE.

Chrome I have not tried and just heard of this the first time today. IE is good for ordering things online although I usually do my searches online then call the companies to order what I'm wanting. I don't like doing business like paying for things online.

I had some problems before with IE, like it stalls when I open more than two tabs and taking long to load. I changed to firefox for over a year now since I found it much better and dont have the problems I had.

I have had problems off and on with IE. My computer guy when he fixes my computer puts IE back onto the computer because that's what he uses. He said the last time I shouldn't be having problems with them, but I continually do and have to revert back to Firefox which I have never had a problem with.
Thank you for your input on this matter.
