Last Sunday i watched Rated K, and they conclude that serina or mermaid really exist. they showed some bones of this creature and their are some that is still preserved. their are some people also testified that they really saw a mermaid. for me i don't believe because i haven't seen yet a mermaid. i just want to follow the sayings, "to see is to believe." how about you have you seen a mermaid already? or its just look like a fairytale or just an old story told by our ancestral parents!?

Hi in there cupcyke, Mermaids are superstitious belief. They are creative imaginations of mankind. It was an imagination that combines man and fish like also the the combination of a horse and a man. There is no formal study about mermaids so we can't yet prove them to be true because of evidence lacking. Besides, maybe these mermaids who showed up themselves to us are not really the mermaids because they might be evils who just appear to fool our minds. Besides, back in thousands years ago there were no articles or information gathered about this creatures. he hei to see is to believe but it may not really be the mermaid we might see but evils.

Same as you, my philosophy in life is "to see is to believe" so obviously I don't believe in mermaid. However, I believe that there is something in this world that does exist but unseen in the eyes of man.. As for me, I didn't yet see any mermaid in my entire life so its so impossible for me to believe.. Maybe, in my imaginations and through fairy tales, mermaid exist.. I guess its all a matter of belief and how people seen this world through the things that they want..

Hi cupcyke, good day to you my kababayan, well regarding to your forum topic discussion entitled " do you believe that sirena really exist?". Well me in my opinion, i think they really exist because in the internet there are so many picture of that existing life form, even though we are not able to see that kind of creatures regularly. Here our world i know there are still more creatures that unknown and undiscover. The galaxy and the univers is very wide, wide as the wider plance than you know. So it means that in that far far away places there are creatures that called alien which have a very advance technology than us. And i guess in their technology they know how to make car to be fly in the sky with out no limiting limit. . . Well that's all my response to your discussion. I hope i really give a very interesting response to your discussion. . . Happy posting and happy earning. . . Good day and good luck to our earning career here in this site mylot. . . =)

I believe that all those paranormal things and beings are only made of imagination of peoples minds, especially the elders, they use that kind of to warn other people that it is dangerous if you that, if you go there, or anything just to put fear in minds of the people.

Hi I am from india,so other name for mermaid is 'sirena'; our Hindu religion books have many stories about mermaids. Above the waist it is woman with boobs, below the waist it is fish like. One can see them in our mythological movies and books. They are known as ‘Matshya-kanya’; means ‘Fish-woman’. Long back I heard about fisherman catching something similar in some seashore. I think mermaids are imaginary characters only. Thank you so much for this nice discussion.. Professor. . Cheers, have a great day ahead. God bless you. Welcome always.

when i was a child,my grandmother used to tell us a story about a mermaid that she saw sitting at the seashore when she was little..she described it as very scary because according to her, it's face was fish-like with very long, white hair.we were made to believe that those exist but as i got older,i don't think it does.i think it's only a figment of imagination.

Hi, cupcyke! I did not know that mermaids were called, sirena's. I have not seen one in real life before. I have never been underwater in my entir life. I plan to never go under either. Or above. I do wonder if they do exists too. I have seen on T.V. that their are mermaids that have existed. They also showed the bones of this creature. After seeing the movie, Splash, I do wonder if there are such things as mermaids existing. I believe that they may exist, I just have not seen one yet.. This is a long told fairy tale, but I believe that fairy tales may be true..

I don't really believe that mermaids exist. Like you I also believe in the saying that to see is to believe and maybe mermaids only exists in people's imaginations. There are studies conducted but as long as pictures are their only evidence I still won't believe. It is very easy to edit a picture and to tell that there really is a mermaid but to hold and to prove to yourself that it exist, I think that is beyond impossible. Anyway as long as there are no live evidence I won't believe in mermaids.

What an interesting story. I have to say that I do not believe they exist. My mind might be changed if I watched the television program that you mentioned. Evidence always makes something more believable. In some ways, I have to agree that seeing is believing. At the same time, sometimes you just have to have faith. In this case, I think they are a fairytale, but I guess time will tell.

sirena or mermaid is just a man made story...created to entertain and to confuse people...I personally don't believe in them, but I've been entertained watching mermaids. Just like other fantasy movies out there...supernatural things but hard to believe.(^__^)

Although that is still to be proven I think I would start believing it if there will come a time that I myself can see one that is alive and not a rotten or dried bones. As for now I think this are all myths and would remain as that until I saw one in real life.

No, not seen a real mermaid too, but I don't know if they really exist. From what I have known mermaids came only to people's imagination as part of fairytale characters after Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen immortalized the story of "The Little Mermaid". But according to history, Andersen never seen a real mermaid, what he did was only a representation of his personality, it must be recalled that the story of The Little mermaid was started when Ariel rejected and went to the sea and became mermaid, well Andersen experienced such rejection too from a guy whom he adored. I am not sure what to believe, after hearing testimonies from other people whom claimed saw a mermaid, right now I still don't believe they truly existed.
