on Thursday night OH and I decided to go to Cumbernauld shopping , I wanted to see if I could get into a size 14 , I managed it a couple of months ago but I needed a shoehorn lol ,
I Know all the girls now and lifted 2 pairs to try on ( trousers not girls :) ), I had lifted the longer leg my mistake as I have wee legs :). Jackie the assistant was so pleased for me when I put them on had plenty room ( could even get my hands in the pockets).
I was going across in my stocking feet with the trouser legs about 4inches too long and I was holding them up to look for a shorter leg length when I realized I was the only customer in the shop . I asked Jackie when they shut and she said "Now :) 5 minutes ago" .
They were keeping the shop open for me as they tidied up, how nice some people can be .
I was just so excited . I got a top to match and picked a Medium ( I used to be extra large ) she said a small would fit so I bought both .
I kept apologising for keeping them back but they were so happy for me as I have shopped there since I was a size 24,
I walked out of the shop with a smile on my face and a skip in my step . YIPEE!!!
WEE xx
PS the small did fit :)

Wow! Wee. I am glad the small fit. It is true customer service and friendly shopping in that store. I hope you have pictures of your new clothes. Isn't shopping fun?

Is this a result of the diet you started last year, my friend? If so... well done!!! I applaud you! If not, still well done! You've done really well to get down from a 24 to a 14 and I can feel your excitement at shopping for new clothes. I'm not surprised you didn't notice it was closing time!
Congratulations and Brightest Blessings, my dear friend. xx

Awwwwwww... I've missed you too, my friend. The diet sounds a good one, whatever it was. Now, I'm in need of some flaxseed oil... expensive stuff too! lol. The clothes shops are a must when you lose that much weight, huh? Me... I still have some smaller clothes hanging in the wardrobe in the hope that I can get back into them someday. They were favourites of mine and I'm reluctant to let them go, so I know what I have to do, eh? lol. xx

So happy for you! I am glad that you have lost a few pounds! I bought some pants a few years ago, but they were just too small. I did not want to send them back, because I hoped to loose a few pounds. I tried them on today. Hurray!!!!!!! I can wear them now! It just took a few years to get down to the size that the pants are.

How cool is that!
I once went to a shop and they had closed 5 minutes early and I pointed at the clock and told them I just needed a quick large shirt to sleep in, and would only take 5 minutes - actually took less to pick the shirt, but maybe a few more than that to ring it up.

It was good that the girls in the shop didn't rush you to finish shopping when you realized that the shop was already shut! How nice those girls were to you, and rightly so - they must have been as excited as you when you were trying all those smaller fitting clothes on!
No wonder you walked out of the shop with a smile on your face and a skip in your step!
P.S. Glad to hear that the small top fitted!

That's what good customer service, of course, I would walk away smiling after receiving such a service, not to mention I can get some size smaller than my normal. lol. I just feel you are really lucky and can feel your gratefulness. Cheers :)

Hi weemam!
Wow, those people at the shop are really very nice for still entertaining/serving you even after shop hours! That is what customers really appreciate! I am happy that many shops are like that here, they will always go the extra mile to please customers!
Congratulations dear friend for fitting on the small size! You've gone a long way! Keep it up and I am sure it is now a very enjoyable experience to shop and dress up when one feels and look good and healthy!
Take care and have a wonderful day!

This is amazing. Don't you feel like 1 million?
I am skinny, but my mother was always on diet and it was so hard for her to loose weight. I can not imagine your determination to loose weight and be healthy and happy. 24 to 14 is a big deal! Congratulations!
HUGS
