Earning versus Friendship and Knowledge here in myLot

People here in myLot can be classified into two categories, and that is according to their purpose. First, the ones who joined myLot for earning some money. Second are the ones who are here for friendship and for discussing to have more knowledge about things.
I think I belong to the knowledge type. Earning here in myLot is so slow. And I am still here because I enjoy sharing ideas with myLot people.
So, in what category do you belong? Earner type or Knowledge type?

I would say that I definitely belong to the second category. I love participating in discussions and even just reading other people's thoughts on different topics. When I first joined mylot, I thought it would be a great way to earn a little extra money. As it turns out, it takes a lot longer to reach payout than I expected it would because obviously I only have so much time I can spend online. However, now that I've been here for a little while and have made some friends, I stick around because I love the discussions. For the most part, I don't pay very much attention to my earnings on a day-to-day basis. I have to admit though - I'm intrigued by the new stimulus package. I completed a few tasks yesterday and am hoping to earn a couple dollars for them. I'm still waiting to see if they get approved. Doing tasks won't take away from the time I spend participating in discussions, but it is a nice way to earn a little extra for doing research or writing, both of which I enjoy.

I first join myLot for getting some additional money. After few days I became aware that after earnings and payment, I can get some good friends. I also came to know about different things in the world and was able to get good knowledge of lots of things. It is also fun to spend time in myLot

Hi yaks,
Count me in to Knowledge type. I haven't invited anyone yet to this site so earning is slow for me. I love to participate here. Just hooked in submitting my views.

I joined myLot to earn money. But, have found that it is my knowledge that I am using much more. It takes longer to make the money, than give good sound advice.

I'm here for both. I don't really think there is such a clear divide in the reasons. I think the majority of people are here for the extra money (who doesn't like more money) and for the friendship factor of it too.

I would say that I'm kind of in both categories however I'm leaning more towards the knowledge category. It takes way too long to make money on here so I'm not really counting on it much for earnings. The extra spending money would be nice though lol. I enjoy responding to topics and sharing my knowledge though. My initial reason for joining mylot though was because I found the opportunity to get paid for just discussing topics on a forum appealing.

Definitely knowledge type. The money is just pocket money and it is a bonus. I enjoy getting paid and it is a bit of a game to see how much my earnings have gone up each day but when I first joined I didn't even know immediately that we got paid. I enjoy the discussions and the friendships very much and I have learned new things since I have been here.
So far I am not too keen on the new task section which started today although I haven't tried it yet; I much prefer posting. I am quite certain that I would still drop in here even if we didn't earn.

I am on the second type. You are correct when it comes to earning but the fact is you will really learn from different people with different opinion. What I really love about mylot is the process of learning and connecting people. Most members are really willing to share their experiences and opinion with something and I have just to go on with the flow.

I started out in mylot to earn extra money and I am ... slowly. But the perk is that I have shared information and knowledge and people have willingly shared with me! I enjoy mylotting and I hope you do too! Excellent discussion question, by the way.

I joined myLot for the money. Once I joined I saw how hard it was to really make money unless you had hours a day to devote to it. Then I started just jumping around, reading discussions, sometimes never posting at all. I really find the entire site so interesting, I love reading the posts from all the different people from all over the world. I would say that I am here for both reasons to earn money as well as gain and share knowledge, but knowledge would be number one.

Basically i tried this site to earn money, and i did. I have successfully earned money by participating to every discussions i can relate to and having friends here is an additional bonus for me.
I may say that i am categorized into the first one because first of all i am married, so definitely i would not be looking for a relationship or interest of befriending others, not to the extent that i will cross my boundary. Second, i am a stay at home wife, i wanted to earn money so that it can add something for our savings. So this site is well recommended and i appreciate what Mylot has done for most of us members.
Thirdly, i am fond of Mylot because i can state my point of view to others and i can also participate to every members forum and answer their queries and by means to help too.

Regardless of how people get started don't you think they ultimately end up being a bit of both? I was referred by someone but I am a writer so it has worked out for me.

Gaining the knowledge and making here the friends is also a sort of earning. Pennies are not every thing, but pennies are also something. We need money at every step of our life. The people running hither and thither are in search of money. They know the importance of money, they work hard to get and increase their money. If you have no friend in any physical professional life then you could not get the money in your professional life. here is the same at my lot. we need friends here and we also need to learn something to take part in discussions. So these all thing are like earning.

At first when my friend referred me to this site and told me i could earn money here my purpose really was to earn, but when i have joined already haha money making is not that really fast as what i am thinking but it is just a reward for your efforts here in making friendships and gaining knowledge.
So as of now i am staying because i love it here, the discussions are wholesome and knowledgeable and i am also making friends all over the world..lol
Thanks my friends...
