Do you dress for the season or the weather?

It's been a bit nicer weather wise around here and I'm very excited about the coming warmer weather and spring! However I'm not so quick to put away my sweaters and warm clothing. I still need my flannel pjs at night and a heavy coat in the morning. But I've noticed as we get closer to the first day of spring that people are wearing summer clothes - tee shirts and shorts! I'm assuming those people are dressing for the season - something I've never been able to do. I still dress for the weather.
So what type of person are you - have you already put away your winter clothing or do you wait until it's absolutely positively warm weather...

It is a good question. My friend told me people who lives here change their clothes for the season not for the weather. When it is march, people just change shorts right away even though the wather is still so cold.
I'm certainly not that type of person, I can't wear summer clothes when it is still cold. I would change clothes when it is really warm.

Me too... I check the local forecast each morning and dress accordingly. I cannot just say that since today is the first day of spring that I should be wearing shorts. I'm just not cut out for that. Thanks for the response.

I suppose I dress for the weather... because we don't have different seasons here... hihihi

i dress for the weather. it does not matter to me what the season is. i do not want to get sick. plus in michigan, you can not go by the season alone. the weather changes too much. the saying goes. michigan is where you can get sun burnt and frost bit in the same day. i think for health reasons, it is better to dress with the weather not the season.

I havent worn a sweater probably in about a month. I live in Florida and right now i think the high is around 85. SO i wear tank tops and light shirts right now with capris or shorts. Its already hot here and its nice weather at night to do some yard work or go for a walk. I always dress for waht the weather brings. I havent put away my winter clothes yet, but i know i have to soon so i have some extra closet space available.

Well lucky you that you live in Florida! Here in New York we're just reaching into the 50s so I still need my sweaters... But if I had your weather I would definitely be dressing lighter! Thanks for the response!
