Last wednesday, we had our case defense in nutrition class... I had to do the cooking for the breakfast and dinner meal.I prepared skinless chicken grilled with sauteed vegetables, salad, carbonara and corn soup with quail egg... I did not expect much that our panels would love it the fact that im not a good cook.. So yeah during our presentation, i had to read the nutritional value of every ingredients I included in the meal... I was surprised the panels finished their food.. they were praising me especially for the pasta and soup.. they loved it!
Didnt know how good it feels to see them eating all the foods I cooked... It was worth the time pressure and running errands...

I love cooking for other people and watching them enjoy the food I cook. I come from a family who loves to cook and back. My grandma was the best cook ever(all grandma's probally are). My mom is a good cook to, she learned from her mom and I learned from her. My dad loves to bake. I got both genes.
I live by myself now so its rare that I get to cook for someone other than myself but when I was in college i was always cooking for people.
Cooking relaxes me I dont know why but it does.

Cooking can be your therapy... It makes you feel good and relaxed. There are different ways that can make you feel good or freshen you up from the busy week and stressful work. As for you, you enjoy cooking and this realeases the negative elements as it become postive..

I can't explain to you the amoung of happiness and satisfaction I get when I cook a grand dinner for guests and get appreciation from them. Cooking is my passion, but I am not a great cook. I collect varities of cooking recipies from net during week days and try those during weekends. I enjoy it.

That does actually implies that you are a good cook 'coz they'd like it so much. Congratulations.
I cook sometimes but when i have a visitor i really have to prepare things carefully and follow procedures step by step 'coz i don't want to see their reactions not appreciating it that's why i always see to it that i did the right procedure he he

It always feels good to be appreciated no matter what things we do.. But when it comes to food, most ple are quite fussy over the standards of it, and it's hard to cater to everybody's taste..
So if they managed to finish up all the food and praise u for it, it must mean that u are really a good cook.. hehe ^_^ IN a way, it's perfectly normal to feel a sense of satisfaction.. hehe ^_^

I like to cook for others but I like to cook period because it's something to do and you can make really good food that doesn't taste greasy or make you feel gross after eating it like fast food usually does. I don't really usually cook for that many people but I still like to cook for people.

Wow, sounds yummy. I'm a single mother so I only cook for myself and the kids. I suppose that's why I have an old friend of mine coming over once a month to cook for him. I kill two birds with one stone: company and I get to feel like a Betty Crocker. It's good that way because he's a single divorced man and he's so sweet, he needs someone to treat him nice every so often.

It does make you feel good to cook for others. I was the eldest among 4 siblings and when there's an occasion like birthdays I am the busy-body. But that was then, I got tired of having to slave for them and see them have a good time while I'm in the kitchen all of the time. Now I'd rather go out and treat my kid to his favorite fastfood. I would still cook for others, granted that some of them help out too.

Quail egg sounds awesome! I love to cook even if it turns out bad, but when other people are imprssed and want me to make more...then I feel super. There's no other way to describe it. I feel proud and appreciated at the same time. When I cook things-not bake them-I feel extra good because because it is hard for me to make normal foods and not so much desserts.

Well, congratulations! Obviously, you cook so good since the panels had love it. Next time, trust your self that you cook very good and you can still do more better next time. As for me, I never learned how to cook. No one had ever taught me to took but I had saw my mom when every time she's is cooking for a dinner. Honestly, I'm not really fun of cooking that's why I don't practice.. Since I was a kid, we always have our helper who will cook for our food and most of the time my mother cooked our food.. Now that I'm already 22 years old still doesn't know how to cook. I'm living together with my older sister and she's the one who is cooking our food or our maid.. If both of them are not around in our house, I don't have a choice but to just buy some food outside..

Congratulation mz_Ira! That is a good step for you to start cooking to others. I cook for my sister and she like it. But I never cook for whole family, hehe. I'm not sure that my food is good enough for them and so on. Of course I want to learn cooking to my family and make a good food with enough nutrition in it. hehe
