Laptop + Cats = Bad Combination!

So I left my laptop out and open overnight to just receive chats from my Swedish friends while I was sleeping, nothing wrong with that right? I wake up this morning and my computer is making the weirdest noise, and I hear this opening up the bedroom door and what do I see? My cat. On top of my laptop. Just laying there. I scare him off and my computer is still making these weird noises, and it has actually frozen so I can't do anything but reboot. I try to make breakfast while it's rebooting but while I'm out of sight for my cat he hops back up and lays on the computer. This time when I scare him his claws get caught under the keys and rips 3 keys off. Holy mackerel! So now I don't keep the computer out by the cats because apparently they WILL destroy it, I guess that's just their nature :P Has anyone else had experience with this cat/laptop problem?
