when I was a baby, my fam had a weiner dog, then when I got older, my bro. but growing up I always had Pits. i just recently acquired the weiners. and they are sooooo cool. But Pits and Dobies are a close second. I live in an apartment . so you know...space. thanks for the reply.

My fiance's dad and his wife have two that they absolutely adore. I love the names they have for them...Pepe and Chalupa. It really fits their personality. My sister and her hubby have always had weiner dogs...they are their "children". The breed makes very good pets, they are very loveable, have good personalities, and are easy to train. I love how cute their little faces are.

Rock on indeed!!! I love those two guys so much. they are so tempermental and have so much personality. They are part of the family. WEINER DOG WORLD DOMINATION!!!!!!

We have two mini doxies: Dashing Dackles Darling Micro Girl, aka Micro, and Boris von Schnitzelbunk, aka Boris. Micro came from Germany and Boris was kind of a rescue. A family got him from a national chain of pet stores and didn't want to keep him. At 1 1/2 years old (when I got him) he had NEVER been to a veterinarian. So we stopped at the vets office on the way home. My personal opinion is that one should aquire a dog from a breeder, shelter or rescue group, NOT from a "Pet Store".
I won't go into THAT now. Save it for another discussion.

We have 3 doxies right now they were all rescues that we ended up keeping. They are great and so loving I don't think that I have ever meet a breed of dog that is as loving as they are before I meet my husbands dog years ago. I am hooked now.
