I drink a glass of water every morning.Thats one of habits for years.I dont know which way is better, drink before brushing or after brushing? Some say that they never take anything before brushing while others think eating after brushing would spoil the taste of food. Then what about drinking?I think our oral cavity is toxic after a night's sleep,so I drink after brushing every morning. But is it OK to drink before brushing?I feel thristy the moment I wake up.Drinking water refreshes me and starts my day.Do you drink water in the morning when you get up?Then before or after brushing?lol Love to read your response.

I have read articles and the benefits of drinking water before brushing out teeth and have tried it as well but this practise didn't last long. I guess it's a habit for me to brush my teeth then drink water. I just automatically walk to the bathroom after I wake up. About toxic in our oral cavities, I don't know about that as it has never given my stomach any problems. My husband on the other hand just drinks water alot. Sometimes he would wake up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet but before he does that he would drink water. He has his tupperware brand tumbler beside him. So he drinks it then he goes to the toilet and then come back to sleep. As for me I will drink as well but it is after I come out from the toilet. I use the common bathroom so I have to walk outside of our room to go to the toilet so before I return to our room I would drink from my tumbler as well. Our apartment is small so everything is nearby.

Science say we should drink water before we're thristy. Our body is already thirsty before it notifies us.I dont drink water whenever I wake up in the middle of night.I drink a little before I go to sleep.I guess everyone has his drinking habit.lol I cant imagine he who never drinks water.

I always drink 2 bottles of water at room temperature in which half a lemon has been squeezed but without sugar or salt. Then i wait for an hour after which i brush my teeth and do the other things. This was told to me by a holy person. He said that this method helps in cleansing the body of all toxins and other impurities and keeps it healthy and sickness at bay. The water has to be drunk withib half an hours time. I finish drinking in 10 minutes. If you want to remain healthy throughout your life then you and everyone should follow this practice. After doing this you need not drink water throughout the day. It also helps if you can consume another two bottles in the evening but not neccessarily.Try it out.

Ideally a ful bottle which i think is 750ml so two bottles will be 1.5 litres. In your case since you can`t do it its perfectly alright to drink little by little throughout the day as you are doing now.But in the morning drink at least 2 glasses of water before brushing your teeth and let it be lukewarm so that you can flush out better.lol.

Thats new to me.First 2 bottles of water at room temperature in which half a lemon has been squeezed but without sugar or salt.__Whats the amount of bottle? How much water exactly? Then brush your teeth an hour later.Drink the 2 bottles of water in 30 mins.____ Thats fine with me.I'd love to try it,but I dont have enough time.I have to go to work early in the morning. And being a teacher at school,I have to drink from time to time to protect my throat. Maybe I can do it on weekends. Thanks for your information.Take care.

I always drink after brushing. When we sleep, we don't produce my saliva and we have bad bacteria in our mouth. We have to brush first, than drink....
We have to drink water before we eat or drink coffee.

I think I've read some where the article encourages people to drink a glass of water before they brush their teeth. Like you say, I think most people would feel thirsty after a night's sleep, especially so when sleeping in air-conditioned room. So I don't see any reason why we should not drink water before brushing. It quenches our thirst but also clean our digestive tract making easier to pass motion.

I usually only drink alittle bit of water when I brus my teeth. I dont have a whole glass of water. It is not something I am in the habit of drinking. I just concentrate on getting the teeth brushed. It is ablut all I can do.

I just gargle water after I wake up in the morning then I drink water after that. I feel refreshed after doing that. I don't brush my teeth before eating because it will get particles after I eat so I just want to brush teeth after eating. When I need to go somewhere of course I brush my teeth even without eating. I also used to drink water every after brushing my teeth because I feel that my throat is dry after I brush my teeth. I never go to bed without brushing my teeth but I can go for breakfast by just gargling with water. I can't go to bed without drinking water after brushing teeth and I don't know when that habit started.

Whatever all say its not a good habit to drink water before brushing the teeth.Imagine how much bacteria will be there in your mouth after a sleep.By drinking water after waking up without brushing the teeth will defenitely make way for bacteria to go in which otherwise would have been spit out by brushing the teeth.Even after brushing you can always drink water which will remove the toxins from the oral cavity. It is said that drink water before you have anything else(either drinking something else or eating) but its not like drink water before brushing.

Hi, sweetyethot!! I only drink water when I get thirsty. I don't drink it just as soon as I get up in the mornings. I will only drink it when I have a taste for it and if I am very thirsty. That is good that you start your day with a cold glass of water. Cheers to you for taking care of yourself! I do love water, I just need to drink the plain one more. I drink more flavored water than I do with the plain.. It does have less calories in it though. Happy drinking!

last year before,I have not the habit of drinking water in the morning.Since I met my gf last year ,all the things become opposite! I drink the water every day ,my gf tell me that dring water after U get up in the morning is good at Ur health!Usually I chose to drink a glass of water after brushing,I think that there kinds of dirty things in the mouth,if U have taken a brushing ,U will get the cleaning water to clean Ur inter of body!In the other way ,eating something before brushing is a terrible thing for me !

It's better to drink a full glass of plain water before you brush your teeth. If you can drink 3 full glass of water will be better. Before you sleep, it's better not to drink too much water as it will cause water retention & will make you wake up in the middle of the night to pee. It's advisable to drink 2 litres of water a day.

This is a great subject. The thing is, that I'm always thirsty when I wake up in the morning so I drink a whole lot of water. I sometimes chug some juice and soda too to wake me up in the morning. And then, I go brush my teeth. The best part about teeth brushing is that you can wash all that disgusting taste you've had from the night before. Moreover, I gargle with listerine and the taste is so overbearing, that I've got to wash my mouth out with water. So, after I have a cup of coffee and wash the tooth paste taste out of my mouth, or have breakfast, THEN!!! I drink water. So, yes, before and after for sure.

I cant drink anything until my teeth are brushed. I cant drink water first thing in the morning. Only juice or coffee.. Mostly coffee. The only time I have water in the morning is if I am sick
