I have a confession to make…I snore. From what I’ve been told…I can get pretty loud sometimes especially when I sleep on my back. I’ve gotten so loud at times that I wake myself up! Ppl have mentioned in the past using those nose strips or something but I can’t stand them. Hubby doesn’t snore only b/c he wears a breathing machine for his Sleep Apnea.
I haven’t heard of many females that snore so loudly…mostly it’s men that do that. I’ve always wished I was one of those women that sleep nice and quiet but nope, I’m loud…I’ve been told it sounds like a train coming through it’s so loud LOL. Hubby seems to have adjusted to it though so at least that’s a good thing.
Do you know any women that snore or snore loudly? Do you think if you did it would cause your partner to want a separate bedroom? What do you think about women who snore really loud?

Hi twoey68! I used to sleep like a baby before but when I added some pounds (20 pounds approximately), I began snoring. My husband jokes about it and I just laughed it off. I do snore when I got so tired during the day. Sometimes it is really loud and sometimes, i don't snore at all. I really am trying to slim down a bit thinking that it will probably help somehow.
Take care and blessings to you.

Really? Then I have received a wrong advice. I have been told that the fats accumulated in my neck has been the culprit why I have been producing those sounds and that is one of the reason why I have difficulty in breathing. Maybe, i should consult a professional. Thanks for the information.

I am a woman and I have been told by more than one person, my husband included that I snore very loudly. Everyone in my household snores, including my 4 year old daughter. I have heard that snoring is because you are extremely tired. I have also heard another reason for snoring is lack of oxygen in the blood, etc. I am not sure but maybe it is an inherited thing too.
When we have had overnight guests they usually complain and say that we all snored so loudly that it was hard for them to fall asleep!
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Yes I know one too although I have never heard her.
She too has been told that she snores but she is not disturbing others most of the time. I know that she gets a good night's sleep and it doesn't wake her up, well only once or twice. I also know that she has no idea what to do to stop it.
So you're in good company. Oh I forgot to tell you who she is - me!

I've woken myself up snoring, too! You're not alone, believe me! I don't do it every night, I don't think, because when my mom stays with me she never complains or mentions it, but I know I snore. So does one of my dogs--talk about a freight train, Gus does a great imitation!!

I'm here, right this minute, because I woke up from a nap because my husband decided to take a nap sometime after I went to sleep. HE snores like a freight-train! Doesn't matter if he's on his back or on his side. He has sleep apnea, too, but so far has refused to go in for a sleep study.
I've definitely considered separate bedrooms because he wakes me up a lot and I have chronic insomnia; I'm always waking up after no more than 3 hours of sleep and when he wakes me up with his snoring, my pain level soars!
I use ear plugs to help at night, but when I lie down for a nap, I don't think to put the ear plugs in because, well, he's not usually in there with me.
I only snore (according to him) when I'm having sinus problems, like a cold or sinus infection, and then only quietly.
BUT, there's something other than those nose strips that help. There's a throat spray that works really well! My husband uses it, usually only when I tell him to, but it most definitely quiets his snoring! Sometimes, it stops it altogether. He says it tastes good, not all yucky like some medicines do. A few sprays in the back of his throat and not only does HE sleep like a baby, but so do I!!!!
He's tried two different kinds, but I can't remember the names. Doesn't matter, apparently, because they both work very well. I strongly recommend those sprays to anyone who snores, or to anyone who wishes their partner would stop snoring!

I used to live with my aunt ten years ago. My aunt snores so loud like a train passing through a railway
Her snores were so loud that I can even hear it in the living room while she sleeps in the bedroom and the door was closed. I think thats the reason why her husband left her

Yes, I've been told that I snore a little sometimes. I guess when my sinuses are giving me heck and when I sleep so hard from being down right exhausted.
My husband snores so loudly that I can't sleep. When he and our rotwieller get going it's really bad.

I snore so loud that people tell me I sound like a train wreck. That is exactly what they say! I have had two sleep tests done, and they did not help me at all. It ended up that it was more to help them with their studies then to help me. My husband and I have different schedules so we don't sleep at the same time. We we did have the same schedules, it was a real problem.

My grandmother was a great snorer. She could certainly rival a train or even a jet plane flying low.
A lot of women are great snorers, they just don't get found out because they are:
1. Single - so no one to disturb.
2. Have partners who out snore them, so they aren't noticed over their snoring.
3. Are very good at convincing other people they are lying (it happens you know).
Snoring is nothing to be ashamed off, we all do it from time to time, even me. It is a natural response our bodies make when we lay down, because our airways are under extra pressure, which means they are narrower too.
Sleeping slightly elevated helps to limit the amount of snoring, but then there is the allergy side of things too, especially to dust mites. Basically, there is no one reason why anyone snores, but potentially many and in different combinations for each person.

Hi twoey, apparently sometimes I snore! That was news to me when my son told me, normally though I talk in my sleep, even if semi-conscious..fortunatly though I have never had to worry about strips to stop snoring as it is only now and again also I am single so don't have a partner to worry about..hugs littleowl

I don't think that snoring is a man/woman thing. Every one snores, especially when they are really tired, or even over tired. My husband snores pretty loud sometimes, Usually I just get up for an hour or so (I play online games), and he quiets down so I go back to bed. When we both snore, I'm sure it doesn't sound much like a symphony...lol. Having two bedrooms is a solution, but a bit too drastic for me. When I hear my husband snore, I know he's next to me. Not out with the boys, or where ever. If he snored all the time, I'd probably try ear plugs, to deaden the sound as much as possible. My snoring doesn't bother me a bit so I guess I can't comment on it. lol

Snoring can ruin your relationships. It almost ruined mine. Until I found Snore No More! Try it! It's the only thing that worked for me.

What do I think about women who snore...Nothing because I am one of them and I do not hear myself. I also do not sleep with other women so again I do not care but I do care if my male sleeping partner snores.

i snore pretty loudly myself. It seems some night all I do is fight to stay asleep. I seem to sleep better in our recliming chair than in our bed. My husband is a snorer also so I'm sure the neighbors love us....

My daughter use to tell me that I snore when she would be visiting me.I have woken myself a few times snoring.I haven't done that in a while. When my husband he snored. He would snore so loud that I could not go to sleep.I would turn him over on his side then he would quit snoring and I could go to sleep.

Both of my children snore. My oldest has had her anoids removes (for a separate reason) and that seemed to help a bit. Unfortunately, she now has to have her tonsils removed along with some other things (again for a separate reason). The ENT doctor says all this will end the snoring. Now, if I could only figure out why the little one snores, too - much worse! I think they get it from their dad!
