Do you feel asleep during classes?

When I was in college 10-12 years ago, I always fell asleep because I do not have enough sleep

In my school days i was sitting in first row so i never slept.Whatever they produce i have to listen.:( Sometimes if the lesson was not interesting i was thinking other matters seeing them.It was so horrible.

just now i received a sms in my mobile like this: What is S.T.U.D.Y? S.........Sitting T.........Talking U.........Unlimited D.........Dreaming Y.........Yawning So Don't waste time.. Oh my God.. I've a lot to study... So, this is the way, students started to think about "Studies".. as you stated boring lecturer's.

I think there are some certain reasons for sleeping in class.first,Maybe you have not got enough sleep,second,the lecture you are listening to is very boring,third,it depends on the season,usually in sping or summer,most of us will feel sleepy and tired.

lol, what an interesting topic. i fall asleep when teacher start to speak. hehe, i don't know why.

Hi,I really want to tell you that I do get the same cause with you. But now I can control it. Just keep yourself awake during the whote class at the first time,and keep doing it for a few times, then you will do it well. Good luck to you.

h there....thats a funny thing to remember whaen i was in my high school life....ive been to that i sleep during my class with all the snore hahahahahaha....funny....

I sure did! When i was still going to high school I had history first thing in the morning and man that class was sure boring. So, therefore no matter if i got a good night sleep or not i would always fall asleep during his lectures. The only time i wouldnt fall asleep was during a lecture that actually seemed interesting and he got the class invovled.

hi parthasarathide, its a good topic and it makes me remember my school and college days...we used to chat well and if its time for boring lectures we would sleep well.......no matter how much the lecturer scolds..its hard to control your sleep but may be a good diet would help ...try getting enough of sleep at your home ...dont worry!! just try hard , not to sleep may be think of the boring lecturers as your favourite ones....make it a habit...surely you ll succeed.... Yesssss!!! i feel very sleepy in class being on first bench i keep dosing sometimes badly, but if the teacher makes us laugh with too many jokes then i dont feel sleepy.But i feel sleepy because i stay awake till 4am in morning and study hard because we have to study, it is a students life after all.

Heh,i also have that feeling before,because i found class is routine and boring.so my grade isn't so good.

Hi :), I don't fell asleep in class but i get sleepy and my eyes gets so sleepy look. I experience many times boring teachers and i also try to go on with the discussion but still i fall into sleepy behavior. Maybe it's not always my fault to be sleepy often. I would sometimes also blame teachers because personally they see the effect of their teaching style to students. I would just recommend that they have to adapt a new style of teaching to catch students attention. :-) Happy mylotting.

The last time I fell asleep in a class, I had to stand at the back of the room until I was 'awake' enough to take my seat again--of course, this was a military course, but I think that's besides the point. The trick for that became drinking water to stay awake. Other than that, yes, I have fallen asleep in regular classes before though normally I wasn't the only one to do so and it was usually brought on by a warm classroom and a monotone voiced teacher. Normally I try not to fall asleep during classes, however, that doesn't mean I stay awake through all of them either.

when you are not interest in the content what the teacher said, it will feel asleep easily. I am a green hand here, please give me more help. Nice to meet you!

I have not experienced such during my school days, thankfully. I DO sleep in between classes, though. Especially during the times when we are about to pass our thesis. We had so much work to do and me and my group mates hardly have sleep because of it. I guess the main reason I stay awake in class is that I don't want to be reprimanded in front of everybody. I was a good student back then. *trips down the memory lane*

When i used to be in the primary school, i never felt asleep in the class. I started to be sleepy when I'm in the boarding school. Maybe because it was tiring to live in the hostel and usually the time scheduled in hostel didn't allow me to have an enough sleep, I guest.

hello there! that's a really tough thing.I always fall asleep on class. the main reason is lack of enough sleep at night since we ,as students,must finish our homework,and usually it'll make us stay up late. then in the day,we easily fall asleep.

Yes, you are right. there are universally some teachers whose lecture is too boring to be there in the class. If not possible to go out from the class one can not help but sleep. I fell sleep many times in the class. Especially, the computer classes. I can't understand the programming languages and if that is lectured in a ruthless manner, I slept. The punishment is also universal. As you, I have been thrown out of class lots of time.

it happens everyday with me that i feel asleep during classes just cause the subject and the teacher are both boring and the worst part is i get caught always don't know ho but all of them catch me . but i don't think its bad habit jut cause we can't sleep cause of the work they give we can't compromise our sleep.
