I do not who to believe anymore when it comes to Obama. Yesterday I posted a discussion that he was planning to take guns away from pilots now it is being denied. What is with the American media? It covers ups things we should be informed about but then tells us things that are not true. What gives?
Federal officials and the airline pilots union are denying a report that the Obama administration is seeking to end a program that trains pilots to carry guns in jetliner cockpits.
An editorial published in the Washington Times on Tuesday stated that “President Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.”
About 12,000 pilots have been authorized to carry handguns while flying aircraft as part of the Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDO) program, and the Times article called the administration’s move “completely unnecessary harassment of the pilots.”

But Sterling Payne, a spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), told Fox News of the editorial: “It’s inaccurate. This program continues to grow. TSA continues to recruit and put new FFDOs on planes, and we continue to train them and do recurring training.”
Congress authorized the gun program following the 9/11 attacks to help prevent terrorists from turning jetliners into flying bombs that could be used to attack key sites like the White House.

It seems as if the media will print anything, without checking its sources. I want to believe that this program will continue, although with the maintenance safety record of commercial air planes lately, I do not want to fly in one.

I agree with you. Old parts, little or no repairs? Who wants to have to worry about terrorism and planes falling apart from lack of repairs? Sometimes, it is just smarter to keep your feet on the ground.

Welcome to the club. 0bama has switched positions and denied things that I reported here too after seeing them in credible sources. In one case the source link I provided had its text altered without mention. Fortunately, professional journalists caught the alteration too and commented on it. Fact is, the memory hole of 1984 fame is here.

Is it a cover up? Will we know the truth or are they trying to keep it top secret? Maybe the truth will come out soon, he may have it in the plans for the future. We have to be concerned, that it was ever even brought up. That was really a sick idea for them to even think about doing.
