due to global warming the sea level is decreasing and this is effecting all sealife as you mentioned and due to this also the fisermen are also suffering as they arent able to find the standard quality fishes and other sealives and due to this even they arent able to earn and due to this their families are suffering and sometimes they have to sleep emty stomach all their childrens too have to sleep empty stomach and we have to feel more pitty on them. and this all is happening due to all the people living on earth and their wrong living habbits like pollution, cutting down trees no proper plantation, to much use of vehicles and electricity and it also happens due to over population and all are the various reasons. i hope we all overcome global warming and help ourselves.

ya,there are many reports on illegal fishing which is harming the marine life.Researchers writing in the journal Science said they examined the past 22 years of data and found recreational fishing accounted for nearly a quarter of the catches for over-fished populations including red snapper, red drum, lingcod and black seabass.

Yes it's a real prolem. If fishing goes on recklessly once there will be crisis of sea fish. There must be an international control on catching of fish in the sea At the same time measures should be taken for the breeding of sea fish.Otherwise once sea will be scarcity of fishin the sea.

fish reproduce fast, and alot at one time, and think about the fish further into the sea that arent being caught at the time, even if they got all the fish there are hundreds of different bottom dwelling species that mankind dont really mess with, like the woebegong shark, alot of people dont even know what that is, or know they see it when deep sea diving because it looks like a pile of mud at the bottom of the sea, so totally empty thats a big no, no more fish, doubt it but i guess if mankind went out for the sole purpose of eliminating fish then yes highly possible, but even if mankind missed 10 fish in the ocean they could easily repopulate

Hi bomb,
maybe there is a chance for the land to be covered by ocean.....I agree with you about bad fishing especially in our Country where they will even throw dynamite and kills a lot of small fishes!

Hi.
Theoretically it is and practically it may be.
The thing is that I am not studying these things and hence I have nothing to do with it theoretically and it won't be so before I die, so I don't care if it actually happens in the end.
I just want to live life full size.

arrg, if that happens then we are all going to die cant you imagine. har har har joke. well as of now there are more palaisdaan, were they take care and breed fish and not go to the usual thing of fishing at the sea. for example here in the philippines there are a lot of breeder of tilapia, bangus and other fish so they no longer depend too much on fishing at the sea. there are still fisherman who do that. the old fashion way but some are employee of this fish breeding business.

Hello friend, thanks for the interesting discussion.
Well, we have to say that humans have a particular ability to destroy anything they touch, so my answer is yes, is possible we will destroy the life in the sea. What we never understand is that our behavior will be the cause of our ending too.

However impossible it may sound, I believe the sea can get empty. If the human kind survives and does not self-destruct, there will be a day when there will be too many people and the sea will get covered so that the more evolved life forms will go extinct. only the most resilient life forms living at the sea bottom without starting the food chain with solar energy-depending organisms.

Hi bombshell, there is no way the sea will ever be empty the way the ice-bergs are melting and though there will always be killing of whales, dolphins etc (of which I am very much against), in many years to come the world will be mostly water anyway, as it is a fact that there will be many cities etc over the world that will be underwater and there will be more islands than countries and states...littleowl

i dont think so and i hope not..not all the sea will be empty, but its possible if just some sea to be empty. eventhough no one will know if that really could happen..lots of fisherman, lots of fish eaters, but Allah is fair. insyaAllah he wont let that happen to us and to the innocent animals..the sea, the animals, the plants are the stabilities on earth. without them, the earth will be screwed its to keep the balance on earth..

It is virtually impossible for the sea to become emptied because of excessive fishing. The ecosystem is so much bigger then most think. Also fishes multiply quickly and by fishing, we're actually helping control the population.
