Are you concerned about the increasing cost of education?

I know that I am, even though I don't have any children. I don't know how our government and education system expects children or adults to get a good education if the cost keeps going up. Does anyone feel the same way?

I do feel the same way. I still have two more years of college to go and the tuition is getting more and more expensive every year. I'm taking out more loans every semester, which it is going to kill me financially in the long run. They'll bother me until I pay them off. By the time my daughter goes to college, it'll probably be even more. Hopefully, we'll try to help her out with what we can.

It is outrageous how expensive it can be these days. I was going to go to this computer school and it was going to cost $24000 for four months and classes were only three days a week. Hope that you will be able to get by and also hope you are able to get your daughter a good education as well.

While I am concerned about the cost of a good education, I think I'm more concerned about the quality of education we're getting. I think you can still find some good deals with community colleges and state universities, but I think that the standards have been lowered, too. I am taking some classes and I'm shocked at how many times the tests are worth a total of 150 points but the grading scale goes up to 100 (for example). It's very common. Plus, easy extra credit assignments are common. So it's very easy to get an A when in reality the grade should be more like a C or D.

I agree. fortunatly it doesn't effect me. Already have a vocational trade. 2 actually. 9 college hrs. from a degree but that doesn't matter since I am disability retired. But it does effect nieces and nephews and is an issue that concerns me. We can blow up countries and rebuild but can't educate our own what is wrong with this picture?
