I definitely prefer to get all of my work done and be able to sleep in. I do better work that way because first thing in the morning I am all groggy and can't get my brain working right for awhile, lol. So, I always make sure to get everything done ahead of time. But, for the unexpected times, I get up extremely hour so that my brain can wake up and I can get the stuff done...but I would rather be sleeping!

I like to sleep in, but rarely get a chance to actually "sleep in." My body has a "built in" time clock, so I wake up at the same time every morning. I do not like to go to bed late, because I have usually been up several hours already. My bedtime is no later than 10pm and I can't usually can't sleep beyond 7am. I like to get all my work done during the day, and then relax in the morning while I have a nice cup of coffee.

Hello,Amrith! Early to bed and early to rise is the right mantra,as prescribed by our sages and Ayurveda Doctors, for a healthy living. But the present lifestyle has changed everything in a negative way and therefore we are suffering from lot of complicacies.thanx.

I prefer to sleep late but if my energy are drain I will keep the least thing to do early in the morning. I can't sleep if I haven't started a thing that I have to finish the next day.

If I had the choice I would be sleeping late and getting up late. I do this on weekends and it feels like heaven lol. But on weekdays I can't do it as I need to go to work and I wake up really early and I am pretty exhausted when I come home and hence I need to go to bed early. It is a pain to get up early the next day and I wake up reluctantly and take a shower. Have a nice day!

All saints and sages invariably say "go to bed early and raise up early". Though I am very much spiritually inclined, I have been finding it too difficult to go to bed early and raise up early. I strongly believe that there are basically two categories of people -- the late risers and the early risers. I feel it is something that comes in the genes and it requires very hard work to change the inborn habit.
I can keep awake without difficulty upto 12 at mid night, but getting early in the morning is always difficult for me. My wife is exactly opposite to me. She has always been an early riser and she finds it difficult to keep awake beyond 10:30 at night.
But my wife is so nicely disciplined that even if she were to go to bed late, she will promptly get up between 4:00 to 4:30 AM in the morning and will go ahead with her Yoga, meditation etc. But I could never succeed in such self-discipline so far.
Another problem I find is that if I were to get up early (say at 5:00AM or so), I start feeling sleepy immediately after breakfast. I become unfit to do any mental work after breakfast, unless I get a nap for half to 1 hour! On the other hand, if I wake up at 7 AM, I feel "awake" and agile during the day.
Perhaps if I practice very sincerely for 1 year to change my habits, I may succeed. But I feel too sleepy er lazy to change my basic tendencies!

I'm a night owl so I prefer to go to bed late and I do feel better if everything is done before I go to bed. I don't normally sleep late though. Either one or both of the dogs wake me up or I just wake up on my own after about 6 or 7 hours of sleep.

It depends. If I need to finish it right now then I have to do it then sleep late. However, if I am tired then I need to sleep early since I do not have the energy to do it.
