What made you pick the major you are in? Money? Ease? Friends?

Just curious to see why people choose to go in to the majors that they do. I choose engineering because I like solving problems and trying to find ways to improve on ideas. How about you???

I'm majoring in Communications with concentration in Film/Video. I did because it's simply what I like to do an like to be around. I'm not all that much into school and I'm only going to get the piece of paper. So I figured to do something that I loved regardless how it looks on a resume or what kind of jobs it will get me. However ever career is different. The industry that I'm want to get into doesn't really put much emphasis on needing to have school so its a big more low key as far as grades and gpa and such.

I'm not sure why I choose chemistry. I think it's because chemistry is the basic of life and other natural process on earth and beyond. Because I learn chemistry, i finally found out why oxygen only occupies 21% in our atmosphere.
