Do you debate arrogantly without points?

Some people like to argue without having any sound base. They are always derailed. Do you like to debate with them? I really hate to talk to such people. It is just wastage of time, as I feel.

Lol I just recently discovered I am one of these people and trying very hard to control the way I speak and debate/argue.

You know the best way to do it to start thinking on some other thing. I mean whenever you feel like arguing, just divert your attention to something else. (Say) If you believe in any god-form, start chanting his name. Or think about your performance in the last exam...
