I am an avid reader, reading atleast one book every other week. The last book I read was called Brida by Paulo Coelho. I have read many other books by Coelho, and somehow when I am buying books at WH Smith (my favorite bookshop here), my hand strays to the philosophy, spirituality section too. So it is a nice mix of fiction, and non-fiction that I read.
What was the last book that you read? What did you like about it, or didn't like about it?

The last book i read was "Killing yourself to live" by chuck klosterman.
His writing is so personal and has great insight. Very rarely do you find a writer whose style of writing speaks so directly into you. Fabulous book.

The Celestine Prophecy
The Tenth Insight
Secret of Shamballa
Three very easily written but still thought provoking and groundbreaking philosophy ideas are put forth here.

The most recent book I read...I finished Delores Claiborne, by Stephen King, the other day. I enjoyed it, it was a clever little murder story. It was very much classic Stephen King, without the horror. The only think I didn't particularly like was the random, needless connection with Gerald's Game, another Stephen King novel that I really don't like it. It just seemed clumsy and pointless, and broke up the narrative. Which was unfortunate, since the narrative was extremely well done.

The last book I finished was called Seven Minutes to Noon by Kate Pepper. It was actually a book I bought as a teenager, I found it at my parents house, on my bookshelf a few weeks ago. I never read it as a teenager, but I am so glad I picked it up a few weeks ago and decided to read it! What a great book! I actually ended up going to www.bn.com to buy another one of her books because I enjoyed the first one so much. I typically read chick lit. This book was a little different though with some added mystery. It was something different and I really enjoyed it! It was a pretty short read too - only about 300 pages. And it was a smaller sized paperback, so it was easy to fit into my purse and didn't take real long to finish. I highly recommend checking this book out. Kate Pepper is a great author!

Brutal: the Untold Story of My Life Inside Whitey Bulger's Irish Mob (Kevin Weeks, Phyllis Karas). I like this alot. All came from Kevin Weeks and was about his experience being Whitey's right hand man in the 70's and 80's. Talked about everything, people they killed, business they did, etc. Great book if you like mob kind of stuff. Has a 'Goodfellas' feel to it as Weeks was balancing a family at the time and had to deal with that also.
