I prefer honey mustard dressing on my salads. I also like Italian and Ranch as well though. What are your favorite types of salad dressings? I would like to hear about salad dressing that are specific to everyone's homelands as well. Are there any dressings that are really popular in your country that are not really known in other parts of the world? Please describe them...

I prefer honey mustard as a dipping sauce instead of a dressing. I too like Italian and Ranch. There is this new Tuscan House Italian dressing that I love from Kraft.

I like caesar salads as well. We have a really good caesar salad at the restaurant I work at. I have never heard of Ken's raspberry pecan. It sounds really good though. I may try to find some of it and check it out...

Well, I'm in the US and we don't really have a specific "traditional" dressing. I like (fat free) italian dressing or balsamic vinagrette! I can't stand ranch.

I am not a fan of balsamic vinagrette. We have a raspberry vinagrette at the restaurant I work at that is pretty good, though...

Me too, I love honey mustard dressing. I also like ranch & blue cheese, but honey mustard is my all time favorite.

Different dressings are appropriate for different types of salads and different moods. My mom made this exquisite dressing for special occasions that went on her special spinach salad. I don't have the recipe though. I think she called it Korean dressing. It had oil and vinegar and something else reddish-orange and sweet in it. I also love French and Bleu Cheese dressing. Sometimes I am in the mood for Ranch or Green Goddess too. There was a restaurant by my old house that made some amazing fried zucchini and served it with Russian dressing. Unfortunately the restaurant closed a few years ago.

Well even i like it with mustard, but with lemon juice. I like to use some grated parmesan cheese which tastes awesome

You really want me to chose the best? I'd say Kraft's Russian. I love it. I even put it on my mashed potatoes, and perogies. LOL But I also love Catalina, Italian, ranch and cucumber dressings. I sometimes mix 2 of them for a extra zip. Sometimes I make my own version of Italian dressing. It never last long in my house!

We have our own unique salad dressing which are not known to the rest of the world. Instead of using all those commercialized bottled dressings we only use lime and other spices to our salads. We have vegetables salad as well as raw fish salad. They are indeed great appetizer.
