My home country doesn't have wild animal and I have been very curious to see them since I have moved here. I saw there was a brown thing on my deck in the back yard, my dog saw it and barked at it then I asked my friend and described to him, jhe said it was badger then I looked it up online and told him that animal didn't have the black & white thing on it's head so he said then it was groundhog and I looked it up again and I'm sure it was a groundhog, I was so excited, maybe you guys think I'm silly and think it is a big deal but I can tell you, I was really excited! :-p
I think I have deer came visit last fall too because some of my big plants got chewed and torn apart and my fence was not up at that time so it was probably them.

I doubt it was deer eating your plants. Wild deer can easily jump a fence. We live in the country and have deer, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, possums and armadillos all the time. I forgot to mention the skunks. haha. The people who lived here before said they saw turkeys but we have never seen one yet....maybe one day!

I know they are not really wild animals but has everybody seen some Bees this year? There are plenty of wild-flowers out but hardly any bees here yet, (South West of England). Are there many where you are?

We get a few wild animals in our yard, we live out in the country. Last night as I came driving up my driveway there was deer standing in the road, then it took off running towards the trees. My husband keeps his dog food in a big metal can on the front porch, and if he doesn't keep the lid locked on it, raccoons come and dig in it and eat the dog food, we heard a noise the other night and it sounded like the lid on the can, so I went to the door and turned on the porch light and there was a raccoon sitting by the can eating dog food..haha. We also had an opossum on our porch the other night too, but the dogs chased it off. There's no telling what we might see around here..haha.

No, they haven't attacked anyone, usually if we come around they will take off, they're more scared of us than we are of them.

we live in the city but have a ton of green space near us and live near a highway and a former dump, so we see lots of stuff from racoons to mice to snakes. i hear there have been coyotes spotted in our city (which is rare as are in southern ontario, canada). they seem to be moving into the city because the city is moving into their space.

A few months ago during hunting season we saw two deers in our yard. We have a wide field in our back yard. It has tall weeds as well. So when we opened our back door i guess we startled them and they jumped up ran across our yard through the street and into the woods. We also see hummingbirds around our house alot.

Though, I live with in city limits, we live in a smaller rural area, and we often have seen deer roaming in our yard, as well as the neighbors yard in search for the garden. They also have bunnies that roam around looking for food. That's about all we've seen in our yard, other than the normal, a stray dog, cat or birds and squirrels.

There is a wild skunk I named (Blossom) who comes to my house every night and begs for a hand out! She has been doing this for 3 years now. It is so cute! She stands on her hind legs and puts her front paws together like in prayer and moves them up and down real fast when she begs, and of course I always give her something! Then we have several big old fat raccoons coming around for a hand out too! Once there was a big wild cat, (the size of a medium dog) in our yard and then there was a giant buck with huge antlers just standing in my driveway starring at me, when I got too close, he jumped up in the air, snorted, raised his front legs and darted into the woods in an instant! That was a little scary, I thought he was coming to get me! He was just giving me a warning to stay away, that's all!

That sounds exciting! I don't have that kind of excitement though, because I live in a high-rise apartment and the only animals roaming around this estate are domesticated ones like dogs, cats and rats sometimes. I don't mind unusual animals coming around and surprising us. That will surely add some excitement into our lives.

not very often, because I live in the apartment, and I'm afraid of the animal, not only wild animals, to instance, dogs are the most faithful animals to our humanbeing.

Where I am currently in Egypt, I do see animals...but they are not exactly wildlife. They are street animals...birds, dogs, cats, ferrets.
Back home in Ohio, the answer is "yes" I do see wild animals in my yard. Deer, groundhogs, toads, squirrels, rabbits, opossums, and sometimes skunks. We don't really live to far from the city either. I feel bad for the animals that we just came in and built our homes right on top of their land.
We have a walking trail in our neighborhood that is somewhat "wooded" and there are a ton of wild animals back there. My mom and I watched three deers walk right in front of us.

They still hang around when people is around or they hide? I wonder if I can see more of them come out in the summer.

In my country there a lot of cat walk from one home to another home, sometimes they jumped to my roof and scream "Meaaaowww". It really makes me shocked when they do it in the middle of the night. Sometimes they visit food place to steal some fish from the kitchen. Once i saw the cat steal a big catfish and the owner didn't realize that.

I live in the city now so most animals around here are small but can be considered dangerous. We have possum, raccoons, and skunks that like to come out at night only. the skunks beat up the neighborhood cats and spray them to let them know who is the boss. The possum come out and night and hang out under cars. So they are a shock to anybody who might be just getting out their car after a long day. The raccoons hang out seemingly only on trash day and I guess they are just looking for snacks. They stay out of the way of the skunks and chase the possum whenever they spot them. I've actually been on my porch late night just watching them creep around up and down the street...

We live in the country and have it all. We put corn out for the deer and can sit in our living room and watched them out the back doors. We have squirrels, armadillos, opossum, turkies, and even snakes. Last May we even had a baby deer that we were bottle feeding. It was just born and its mother left it to die. We took care of it for about a week while we found a animal refuge that would take care of him. Of course my boys named him Bambi.

Wow really? I thought deers don't like to get close to people and they attack people. Do you actually put it in your yard to adopt him or put him back to the nature? That sounds so cool that you bottle fed the deer! Thanks for sharing! :-)

Well I live in a very heavy concrete jungle where in you find only the buildings & not even the trees anymore. But we do have an estate which is somewhere around 25 miles from where I reside where you can see foxes , mangoose , lots & lots of snakes , rabbits.I love to watch them at close angles.

Sometimes I want to get closer to see them clearly but wild animals seem to be very protective and aggressive so I just stay back and watch, pretty exciting though! Thanks for sharing! :-)

Well, I do see wild animals in my backyard but never those deers. The things I usually see in my backyard are quite dangerous and scary. And that would be snakes. Like I mean, those small delicate creatures in my backyard hiding within the garden of my mother but I do enjoy watching them but its kinda hard to catch them. I mean, you could get bitten but I really had to otherwise I might just see them biting someone from my household so I really didn't have a choice but to either take care of them or catch them to be transferred to a animal facility where they could be taken care of.
