I have experience riding both facilities. I used LRT when I was reviewing for an exam. Nowadays I am using MRT for my daily travel to my workplace. I have observed that MRT is more organized. They have cleaner stations compared to LRT. They have also installed certain facilities to ensure order in the process.
What do you think guys? Which one is better in terms of service?

hi :)
it's very convenient especially if you're in a hurry and you want a traffic-free travel using these trains- i used to ride on MRT ever since but when i had this chance riding on LRT- i compared it and i'll still go for MRT - aside from the its train, each stops are clean i dunno i guess because LRT's way is different- love the sites in EDSA hihi and sometimes i saw passengers that are celebrities haha
but hubby told that he likes riding in LRT- i dunno if what train is fastest LOL :P
i just hate the rope barrier for the ladies/kids/oldies etc-
happy myLotting!

That is another observation I have for MRT and LRT. They have allotted certain "cars" for women. But my observation is that that portion is not always full. And sometimes it is frustrating to see women occupying other portion of the train, although they are allowed. But the thing is, if they could have used the portion allotted to them, it would not been difficult for men passengers trying to squeeze themselves in some of the cars with women and yet seeing the portion allotted not even fully occuppied.
Have you observed that? What are your thoughts?

Hahaha. Kindly tell them my concern. Hope they could also provide a separate car for men. I wonder how would that smell especially for LRT trains. LOL.

I have rode all of them already from LRT1, LRT2 and MRT. Of course the best I find is the newest line LRT2 they are still clean to look at comparing to the first LRT which loosk a bit old already including the stations too.
Although I seldom use them since my way to work doesn't require me to travel thorugh their lines.

Yes. I was able to ride the new LRT2. Trains are new and clean compared to the other one. It seems also that only fewer people use that facility as most of the situations are not close to populated area, commercial or residential. It would not take time for it to become crowded also.

LRT or MRT? those are the ones that are new and bigger, right? because from what i know, that is the LRT..that's the one i ride on going to work. i havent ridden the other one yet so i cant compare but im quite satisfied with the LRT when it comes to cleanliness..

When I'm in Manila, I would prefer to ride the MRT. It's more modern and newer than the LRT. I guess I just rode the LRT once because it's kind of scary. It's quite old.

LRT was constructed almost two or three decades ago so you will notice that there are really a big difference when it comes to the facilities of both railway. MRT is much modern, cleaner, a mega structure at the heart of EDSA.
i can still remember when Edsa is a both a 6 lane highway way back 1990's.
LRT is now adapting MRT's ticketing pass card.
i hope that both railway be extended to the province of Cavite so that, transportation will be faster and cheaper in the same way. the big question is, WHEN?

If you mean LRT1 and MRT, then it is not a fair comparison because LRT1 was built in the 1960's while MRT constructed just two years ago. Hence MRT facilities are newer, of course they should appear cleaner. But when it comes to management of operation, I do believe MRT is the worst. Just look how they can't solve the very looooong queues on their ticket booths. I also experienced riding MRT coaches with little or no air-con at all. And in my last ride there, the platform was already crowded when I arrived and there's a full-packed train ready to go. Then to the commuters' dismay, those in the train were requested to get out since the train is defective. I rode LRT1 as many times as I rode MRT but I have experienced more trouble in the latter.

I suppose the one your talking about is the old LRT line ( Monumento - Baclaran )...
But I would say that the new LRT is the best - bigger trains, bigger stations, cleaner trains, cleaner stations, faster travel time and much more organized!
But if I will choose between the to that you have stated, yes I would go for the MRT.
