I always pack my daughter's lunch for school in the morning. There have been a couple of times when I packed it at night before I went to bed. I must have had extra energy on those nights. It just makes the morning so much easier to pack it at night time. I think I need to start packing it at night from now on. Do you pack your kid's lunch at night or in the morning?

I don't have children, but I generally pack my OWN lunch the night before. I have a big rush in the morning and leave the house at 7:45am so packing my lunch the night before is a lot easier.

Hi Shar19
Well I do half of it at night time by putting the things in like bottle of juice, packet of crisps, fruit and small choccy bar, then in the morning I will prepare the sandwich and put the yogurt in so that I know they will stay fresher for longer like that.

I just pack it in the morning. she usually just takes a lunchable with her to school so I just have to throw that in a lunch box with a pudding cup or something like that. The lunchables she gets come with their own drink so it makes it nice. She doesn't pack very often. I try to get her to eat the school lunches so she is trying different things.

My kids are home schooled now, but when they were in public school I always tried to do lunch the night before. If you leave it to morning you're bound to realize at the last minute you're out of sandwich bags or bread or whatever. I'm just not a morning person & those few extra minutes the night before made my morning easier.

Most of the time I make my son's lunch in the morning time, but there have been a few times when we are running behind and I wish I would have made it the night before. Today he took a slice of leftover pizza in his lunch so that and a juice pouch got put in his lunch bag in the fridge last night. This morning all I had to do was toss in a cup of applesauce and a little bag of Sun Chips and he was good to go.

Although my daughter isnt at school yet I will probably make her sandwiches and such like the night before and keep them in the fridge to pack in the morning to save time.

I usually do it in the morning. it only takes 5-10 minutes. I have done it the night before when i had a boost of energy. That wasn't the best idea because the sandwiches didn't turn out so good for them. lol. One thing that works is packing the quick stuff at night and just doing the sandwiches in the morning. I don't always have the energy at night either, especially with dinner, dishes, baths, bedtimes, homework, etc. by the time the kids are in bed, i'm ready for sleep myself. any household chores unfinished can be done the next day. lol

well. it would better for your children if you packed their lunch on the morning. i remember mum always pack our school lunck on each day's morning. they don't want us to eat some food cooked from the last night. she always try to let's eat the most fresh foods.

When my son takes his lunch for school, I pack the night before. I put in the stuff that doesnt need to be refrigerated, then go on and make his sandwich, and put it back in the refrigerator, along with his juice and cheese stick, and sit all that to the side so in the morning all i gotta do is grab it throw it in the lunch box and go on with other morning tasks. I make sure things are done before going to bed because i hate a morning rush, so everything is laid out the night before just in case we wake up late and are running behind, that way making lunches, getting clothes and such don't add to the frustration of being late.

I usually pack there lunch the night before. I will pack there lunch if they don't like what's on the menu for that day at school.

I always found it best to pack their lunch bags the night before. But then again, I'm not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination. Soon I will be packing lunchbags again, as one of our foster children will be starting kindergarten in the fall.

I am a college student, but I still bring my lunch to school (their dining services are gross! so much grease and sodium!). I pack my lunch usually right before I'm ready to leave, which is usually in a big rush!! I think I'll take some of your own advice and start packing it the night before... would make for less stressful mornings!!

A little of both. Everything except the sandwich and drink go in the night before. It makes it so much easier to just have 1 thing to put together in the morning.

hi shar19, my dear freind, my kiddo is too young for me to pack a lunch box for her. she is just eleven month old and i dont even leave her with any maid at home. i dont trust anyone. i love her and everyone at home says that i am too possesive about her, which i shouldn't be. but what can i do? i am like that. i dont even plan to send her to a pre shool which people send at the age of two and a half i suppose. i will send her to school, proper one at the age of three. whats the fun. this is the only time what i can spend freely with her . i can play with her, and tyhe proper age i will teach her good things too so that she can be enrolled in a good school without problem.

I always pack my kids' stuff in the morning. However, we have PLENTY of time. My little man has pretty severe reflux and takes medication for it. Because it is so severe, I follow the directions exactly. He has to wait an hour before eating. So after he takes that medication, he moves on to his asthma medication(s). While he's doing that, I pick out both kids' clothes and start cooking lunch if needed. Since my kids have food allergies, school lunch is out of the question. My son is only in preschool so he's home by 11:30 and has lunch at home. I send my daughter with a hot lunch a few times per week especially during the winter.
When I was in school and working, we all had to be out of the house very early and I would prep everything the night before. If I was packing hot foods, I would use the crockpot overnight.

I do the basics at night, the stuff that doesn't need to be kept cold, napkins and silverware or whatnot. the sandwich I always make in the morning it only takes a minute and I think they get soggy sitting in the fridge.
