Hello Galena. I don't pay much attention to the L or R while listening to music on headphones. But I do make sure that the wire is not twisted for the protection of it to make it last longer in use. I only use the headphone while working in the office when I have to use it, but back home I don't use it because I love to use extra speakers.

Yeah i do check the L and the R. I feel uneasy when i feel i'm not using the L earphone on my left ear. Maybe that's what you call obsessive-compulsive thing. I really do check them and sometimes when my room is dark, i'm not really contented not to check it so i would turn my lamp on just to double check. Psychologically, i do feel that the music is at it's best when the earphones are place on the right ears.

Yes I do, before putting headphones, I check on if L is on the left ear and vice versa, it has an important purpose that is why I follow it. It is for ear safety I guess much more when the sound is on increased volume. Maybe the left and right ear have different sound capacity .

There can be a difference, if you have a song that uses split channelling. I do notice on some songs, but not on others.
I have to admit after answering this last night, when using my earphones today, i did double check if they have L & R on them, and they definately dont!
