Hello there bombshell. For me, i still listen to the songs from the 80's or 70's. But it depends on the song really. I hate very slow kinds of music so i just pick songs that doesn't make me sleepy and somewhat dull. There's still so many old songs that have nice meanings and rhythm.

yup I listen to the oldies way old like some from the 40s and I think that the music has came along way when it is done good.
But I can leave out the Rap music it just splats oout rude words and things now that if you can understand it doesnt really tell a story to help the people any more1

To me, there is not a lot of good music made much anymore. Most of the modern singers sing in such a way that I have trouble understanding what they are saying. A lot of them sing inwardly and sound like they have a nose infection. I prefer the music from the big bands of the 1940s and a lot of the music made before 1990.

As an 'oldies' myself and was born in that era of Tom Jones, skeeter Davis, Elvis Presley, I still prefer to listen to these evergreen oldies. The music now are nowhere compared to the songs of yesteryears. I would say the modern day hip hops are not to my liking. Don't understand what they are saying and the lyrics are sometimes offensive and doesn't send out good messages.

I prefer to listen to music from the 50's, 60's. and 70's. Today music is all the same and it has no beat and everything has been done. the oldies will never die and thier sound will be around forever!

I still prefer "oldies" over the more modern music. As a matter of fact, I have a 17-year-old son who won't listen to anything recorded after 1980. He was raised listening to the music of the '60s and '70s and much prefers that to what his friends listen to.

Hello bombshell! I do listen to old songs. Actually, I would prefer listening to old songs than contemporary songs. I feel more relax when I listen to it. I even tune in the radio where they played an old song.

i do listen to old songs. I can only tell you about Indian hindi songs and i still love the even from 60s or 50s much before my birth and i find their music softer and better and the songs lyrics had lots and lots of meaning in them.. then came 80s and songs had only loud music and no meanings and now it is again a mix some songs are very good both lyrics and music , some have only good music and most are still nonsense and would only tear the membrane ear drums.

HI Bombshell,
Yes I listen old songs..I feel more connected while listening old songs. There is a kind of soul in those songs, where most of the songs today just have technology and no soul. I feel that the songs which are being composed by new composers, will not last for long. One don't want to listen new songs again and again where old songs are still in demand...

Old songs are much better than the new ones. Some of the new ones I only like and the others don't. I feel like the old ones are more expressive than the new ones.

i still listen to old and classic songs. it's really emotional and you can easily relate to it. i love how singers of those songs sing their hearts out. it makes me feel how they feel when they wrote the songs or whatever.
