Cheers for the answer benny, Ye i did think the fence was a bit of a shame too! But looking back now the fence adds a bit of character i think, but then again if it wasn't there it could do the same! I checked out the site and its very interesting thanks for letting me know mate, i might sign up on it!

It looks like a very nice and peaceful picture. It looks like an experience that I would like to have. I think there are some good pictures you can take and that reflect well on you. This picture is quiet and peaceful and remidns me of a lazy summer day.

personally what i feel about this picture is that it's very quiet. for me this could be a great place to think and unwind. i could even place a swing on one of those trees. but technically speaking i hope that you could have a clearer subject, perhaps the curves of the road or may be one of the trees.

Hey man, would just like to say good looking photo :)
I particularly like the way that the photo does take you from one corner to the other, the split paths all leading off to the same point at the end in the right side. The fence leading alone the same line also adds to this focus.
In many ways I would say that your main focal point is indeed the light splash at the top right. Not only does it light up the floor very nicely, but it adds such diversity to the greenery in the scene, perhaps changing what would have otherwise been half a dozen different shades into 50+. A dual tone colour picture (in this case green and brown) can be very hard to make attractive to the eye, but again thanks to the good use of light you have added a lot of much needed life, making it aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
The fact that it is also not entirely woodland is a nice touch, the fence adds character I feel, that even in these most remote areas there are still people exploring away and leaving their mark on the land.
You clearly have an excellent eye for pictures and I look forwards to seeing more of them on this site, that picture alone makes me want to go there and actually follow those paths. Keep up the good work :)

It is interesting how many positive responses you have had to your picture; I think the fact that so many people like it is really great, and I hope it encourages you to keep shooting, despite my less enthusiastic reaction to this photo.
Any picture that can evince an emotional response, and then bring people back for a second look is a good picture; and if it generates argument and division, it may even be art!
