I tend to create my own discussions more because I feel that there is a shortage of great discussions in this website. I do have a lot of things to say and I am pretty opinionated, but it feels so much better to start discussions and see so many people respond to them. It's both fulfilling and satisfying. Or maybe I'm just too needy. But anyhow, the question remains:
What is your major myLot activity: Replying on discussions or Starting discussions?

I respond more than starting my own discussion. But i am making a habit of listing questions and situations in a notebook and post them here. I also want to start discussion and ask mylotters about their opinions, i know that this is one good way to start being active and gain more friends too. Not only that, we get additional knowledge from things everyday.
I am lucky i joined this site.
happy mylotting and Smile Always!

I'm a new myLotter and I love reply and give my opinions over certain topics, and you're right, I feel that there's a shortage of sensible topics here though I'm starting to find some interesting discussion specuially about health.

I reply more to discussions than create discusions.
I find it hard to think of better discussions to create.

i think that i reply to discussion more then any thing. i just have a hard time coming up with things to discuss. i think that if i watched the news or other things more then i would have a lot more things to start discussion on. i mainly reply to discussion because its easier for me to give my opinion on some thing more then starting a discussion. well keep mylotting and have fun.

Well in the beginning several years ago, I use to start discussions frequently, but these days I do good to respond to a few discussions here and there. I find it easier just to respond to discussions as I have found it difficult to create new discussions.

I start my fair share of discussions, but I tend to respond more than I create. When you create a discussion you have a duty to manage it and respond when others take the time to engage. Oftentimes, I find myself with a limited amount of time to participate, so responding becomes an easier choice.

I definitely respond to more than I start. I don't know if the discussions I start are boring or what, but I don't get too many responses. Other people can come on and start a discussion like "what are you having for dinner tonite?" and get 50 responses, I start one that I think is interesting and get 2.

I try to do both equaly. I find my self responding to post more than starting discussions. I find it easier and I have more to say by responding.
I usually can't come up with any good topics inless I need advice on something or have question.
I enjoy helping others or voicing my opinions. If I have a topic to start I usually do in less my husband beats me to it LOL.

I really dunno what is the difference when it comes to earnings of creating and responding to a certain discussion. As of now, I am enjoying more in responding to the posted discussion than create my own. I find it hard to create a new topic since most of the topic were posted already in myLot. I noticed a lot of repeated or what we called redundant topic, as per guidelines a certain topic should be search first before you create a discussion. I dunno if the myLotter peeps aware of this. So for now, I love responding than to create a new one. Thank you.

There is no target as such for anything ......... replying or creating a discussion. Depends on the day. If i find an interesting topic I put it out for debate and similarly when I find topics which I feel like replying I just do that. Is anything more rewarding than the other? If creating a discussion is more rewarding then all of the community will create discussions only I guess otherwise everybody will only reply. So we should do both and remember it is fun to do each of them.

I like your attitude of starting new discussions. All the best.Happy mylotting...

Hi inkyuboz, It is nice to know that you have enough topics to start discussions, and hopefully are getting enough responses too...LOL ...I tend to respond more than start discussions, i like to go through various discussions and answer the ones that interest me and may be start 2-3 discussions a week..

well. i found that few response to my topic so i tend to reply with others discussion now. but think i still want to try to drop some thread to express my own opinion about something but not exploded by others or someway. yes, it's good to see if your topic has lots of person responsed to it.
