How has your body changed?

since you have given birth that has not snapped back to "normal"? I had to have gall bladder surgery after my 1st was born. So I have scars from that. My feet have also gotten wider along with my hips. My second caused me to have pregnancy enduced carpel tunnel and similar circulation issues that come and go 3 years after the fact. My third I had via c-section so I have a good sized scar and a numb feeling in areas around that scar. How bout my fellow mommies?

Hi there!! I am lucky not to have stretch marks and to get my body back after giving birth. The only consequence that I've had is my cesarian scar. But I don't really mind it. What's important is that I was able to have a healthy child.

You were fortunate to have a figure to bounce back to. I can't see my c-sect scar so it doesn't bother me though the c-sect was tramatizing a bit to me

I wish I bounced back to my "before child" figure! You are SOOOOOOOOOO lucky! I have extra skin that I can't seem to get rid of because my daughter stretched me out so far!

LOL I can't see my scar, either. There is this very unactractive handful of skin at the bottom of my stomach. I am saving money to get it removed.

Other than the stretch marks and my entire front half heading south, not much. I had the gall bladder issues too, so had that removed and a couple small scars there, but compaired to the stretch marks those scars are hardly noticable. What I hate the most is how stretched my tummy and chest area got, and it never bounced back, so now it's all just hanging there, and there's nothing I can do about it except surgery which is a bit too vain for me.

A woman I work with had a tummy tuck, and she said it was a painful experience. She healed the quickest and cleanest of any of her surgeon's patients, and it still took months of pain. I was thinking of getting it done too, but she completely convinced me that it isn't worth it at all. It's best to lose weight gradually so your skin has time to adjust than to drop it quickly and tuck it. My version of a tummy tuck? Tuck all the extra into my jeans, lol.

I've always had a bit of a saggy front, the joys of been a plus sized teen and now a plus sized adult I figure if I lost enough weight someday when I can get back to the gym I'd have to have surgery unless my skin would snap back like those thing folks do. I don't think it's a matter of being vain, but if I wasn't so fearful of surgical proceedures then I'd be all for it. Now if you are talking about doing plastic surgery like Jack-o, Joan Rivers or Carrot Top (his biceps were done) then yep thats vain.

Trust me if I had the money I probably would have already had my skin done... granted I have some weight to lose too. My biggest fears, aside from how to do my chest without it looking or feeling fake, is whether or not I'd want more done after my chest and tummy. Hopefully some day I can just accept my body as it is and be content with that.

I have stretch marks galore, extra skin because my daughter stretched me out so bad, and belly fat I can not lose for the life of me. Now that I'm pregnant again I'm sure it will be worse after this one. I had carpel tunnel with my pregnancy with Angelina too, but about 3 weeks after I had her poof it disappeared and hasn't returned!

I have beautiful silvery stretch marks, a 35" 25" 38" figure now when I used to be skin and bones, and a thicker afro for some reason. The only negative things I have now are high blood pressure and worsened anemia.

I'm ecstatic about my curves! I earned every one, and I'm going to enjoy them. My SO enjoys them too, lol. And it's a perfect time to have a fuller figure. The 90s were a time when everyone was concerned about their butts being too big. Now? They have butt pads in jeans cuz some females' rears are too small! A beautiful day for every mom who's retained weight.

Glad to see someone else where has had changes beyond stretchmarks! Are you glad to have more curves than you did before? I had friends growing up that were more than happy to be skin & bones and complained about being "fat" all the time.

I have stretch marks (which I hate so much)across my stomach and my belly seems to be shaped a little different. But that's about it, I think.

Sounds like you were very fortunate to have no changes within your body beyond stretch marks.
