My friends and I seldom see each other now because we're all busy with our own families. Whenever we have time to get together, not all of us will be present there's always someone whose likely to be unable to be there. And that person usually is the one who lives so far from us. We often joked with each other that whoever is absent will be the topic of the day, so we will text this friend and tell her to be ready if ever she bites her tongue it means that we're talking about her. Well it's just a joke but sometimes we do talk about the person who's absent but not gossip about her but just reminiscing. Do any of you mylotters do this?

Often we do talk about people who are absent when we are in the company of each other but is more reminiscing rather than talking behind their back.
It is fun to remember funny times or to just keep up with what our friends are doing. Some many know what others are up to or have been doing when another doesn't so it is nice when we can get the latest even though we haven't had the opportunity to talk with that person in some time.
I find that within the family, some members may ask what another has been up to if it is known that someone in the family is more in touch with a family member than another.
I am not really one for gossip or talking badly of someone when they are not there to be able to defend themselves.
Therefore when there is mention about someone who is absent, it is always in good heart.
