What will you buy if you suddenly get USD500 as a gift?

USD 500 is not a huge amount I presume. If I get them all suddenly I would see if anything I am in dire need and if see that not like that I would deposit that amount in the bank and would spend it when necessity arises. I an not a spendthrift but economical and that is why this stance.

of course i will buy hand bag,shoes and blouses

I would have to buy home improvement stuff. I want to redo my livingroom paint and floors. Maybe even buy a new video game for my boys too.

If I was not allowed to make a car payment with it then I would buy clothes for the job I am going to start in January. I am going to start teaching and my current wardrobe is not going to work. For some reason they frown upon jeans and t-shirts. :)

I would definitely save it up so that it can grow. Maybe wait a little and buy a new car with it and some more savings. If i had to buy something, i would buy: skullcandy rasta smokin' buds, a stylus for iPhone, Grand Theft Auto 4 for the Xbox 360, a guide to Fallout 3, and a gift for my parent's anniversary.

With that US$500. I am going to spend money in small trip with family. I rarely go out with family due to work... so it is best time to be there with them as time is too short to live ..so better enjoy...since family is your trusted companion.. =)

$500 is just a drop in the bucket. At this point in time spending it would not be an option. We owe much, much more than that to the bank for our line of credit. My husband's hours have been cut down, absolutely no overtime available, and we couldn't make it by on his salary alone before that. Last year my mother gave me $100,000 advance inheritance when she sold her home. That didn't go very far because we chose to invest it (something I am regretting right now) on our mortgage. Well, our house will be paid of in a little over a year rather than 9 years from now, but we are broke. $500 would be a great help, but I would be splurging on anything.

Hi youless, I hope I am that lucky and could get such a big amount of USD dollars as a gift. Yeah, if I were to be given 500 us dollars, definitely I will like to get a 42 inches LCD or plasma brand new tv set with good sound system. It is really disappointed that after checking the prices of the device online, I find the money given is not enough for me to buy either of these wonderful devices. Since I am very fond of taking photos all the time. I decide to buy a good quality and more advanced digital camera with at least 10 optical zoom. Have a nice day and happy posting

I would use it to pay off bills and if I didn't need to pay any bills then I would hold on to it until I really need it.

I would spend it on buying my oldest daughter a new, good printer. Hers quit working completely and she needs one to try and start a job working from home on her computer. She desperately needs the income because she has to buy a lot of medicine that her medical care provider will not pay for. She just got out of the hospital for the second time in two weeks. Yes I would spend the biggest portion of $500 on a printer and if there was anything left I would spend it on clothes for my great - grandaughter.

I don't think I would buy anything but use the USD500 to pay up our bills. But on second thoughts I think after paying up all our bills, I would go for a nice relaxing dinner in DOME restaurant with my husband. And if there's is remainding money will keep it in the bank .

I'm going to buy lot of books and educational toys for my daughter. Then maybe we can buy lots of chocolates too......................... lol

save half in bank and the rest shop at eBay and online store.shop on new cloth,makeup,manga,novel and dvd anime.

I think that my husband and I would either put it in savings, or if we absolutely had to buy something with it, we'd buy a couple of plane tickets to Montreal Quebec, for a mini-vacation, and to visit some relatives of mine that live up htere. We've been thinking of doing that for a long time, now, and we just need the money to get our idea off of the ground.

I would pay off some debt... put it towards my car or house if that is something that I could do with it. If I had to actually go out and buy something... I am in the market to buy a new iPhone... and at $400 for the phone and then accessories... I think I could do that pretty easily. Great question Thanks Zelo

I will shop for clothes, bags and cosmetics. That would really make my day. I wish somebody would really give me such amount.

I think I'd use it on our car, I don't mean buying a car, haha!~ I mean sending it for a long overdue major service, haha!~I guess there should be some left so I'll bring my wife to DOME cafe for the treat she mentioned, haha!~
