I don't eat meat, just vegetable "meat".I drink silk soy milk but if something has little milk in it i don't really mind it.I love cheese so i will eat cheese sometimes.I don't eat egg...but some times i will have vegetable soup and in the ingredients it says it has egg white in it and i don't really mind that either.I really want to be a vegetarian but i have this little problem with having a little bit of cheese.Almost all soups i have looked at says it has egg white in it and i will eat it.I think that i am doing ok with this but i think its kind of wrong that i still will eat things with little cheese or little egg in them but its really hard to not have that because all the stores that sell vegetarian foods don't really sell many vegetarian foods so it's really hard to find things without a little milk or a little egg in them.I like the fact that i have gotten this far and that i am actually saving animals but im still somewhat hurting them and i feel bad about that.thank you for reading and can you answer my question and please give me some suggestions.I don't have many places around my area that sells vegetrarian foods around me.There is only plain vegetables that i can buy.The closest vegetarian grocery stores are about two - three hours away and i dont really want to travel that far to get what i need or want.

In the process of becoming vegetarian, one need to more depend on cooking by oneself by using locally available fresh vegetables and giving up the habit of taking processed foods which are seldom reliable in terms of purity. It should be the natural choice in the matter of taking type of dishes based on one's inherent and individual attitude and inclination to a specific set of values in life, it should not be a forced choice, suppressing one's natural way of living. In fact,we are pure vegetarian in our family by our natural choices, because we enjoy and relish cooking and eating vegetarian foods. We grow vegetables in our kitchen garden and procure fresh green vegetables from local market too. Thanks.

It's possible to be a vegetarian if u eat something which has the same nutrition value that meat, eggs and fish have. U can eat oatmeal which has good amount of nutrients that the body needs. then u can have corn flakes which has good amount of proteins and carbohydrates plus it's rich in iron. there are lots of foods which u can try depending on how much calories u want every day.

Why do you care for it so much? Vegetarian is just a defination. I think it is OK as long as you eat vegetables mostly. Yes, it is good for protecting animals. However, you would not worry about it so much cause egg and milk are just their products that you don't kill them. If abide rigid rule, you shouldn't eat anything cause you rob animals' foods. Haw-haw, just a joke.

I guess it's fine to allow yourself that much liberty. Believe me what you are doing currently is helping a lot to save animals. So do not pressurize yourself too much. We should do as much as we can and try to be satisfied with it.

vegetarians...well, the ones I know anyway tepically eat dairy products just fine, and only don't eat meat. I want to note that I am not trying to put any vegetarians down and or offend them. I just am trying to understand why people become vegetarians. I mean doesn't not eating meat make you weaker? Do all vegetarians choose to become a vegetarian on their own or are they born into it? And finally I get to the question: What do vegetarians hope to accomplish?

I'm not a vegetarian, in fact I eat meat with every meal but at one point in time I could only eat fresh meat with no preservatives so it was easier to avoid meat at all costs. However, I don't see the difference between titles and I think people put too much effort into fitting in part that is closest to what they like. I know that I eat healthy food, I keep track of what goes in my body and I know that what I want to put in it, as long as I like it, that it is the only thing that matters.
Have you tried a regular health food store? They have food for every lifestyle. You can also download cook books online for free and find new ways to cook your veggies so if you can't get to a store you don't have to feel like you are cheating yourself on taste. ebooks online are great I have dozens and I use then all the time. If you don't want to download the books to your computer there are some good websites that rock. Cooking.com and cooks.com are my favorite.

it would be hard for me to be a total vegetarian cause i like soy milk like you do. and so i prefer to eat some eggs too. i am trying to learn how to avoid red meats and pork so that i will have a healthy diet but i really find it hard. i still miss eating meats. but i cut my portion a lot. i would like to learn how to cook vegetables well . and make delicious vegetables salad. but they are quite expensive though in our place to prepare vegetable salad and takes some time to prepare them. but it is really worth it to be health conscious. but i am not able to consistently be vegetarian.

Of course it is. Most vegetarians actually eat dairy & eggs as well. You shouldn't pressure yourself to be vegan; one thing at a time! You are saving a lot of animal lives with being vegetarian, and you should continue to do that until you feel ready to become vegan (if you ever even do - I don't think veganism is right for everyone).
And about the stores that don't sell vegetarian food - well, vegetarian food is simply at ANY kind of grocery store you go to. You don't necessarily have to eat the "fake" meat/milk products, you could eat things like spaghetti (spaghetti noodles + plain sauce), tomato and vegetable soups, raw veggies, stir fry mixes, plain rice, and so on. There are plenty of options in our local supermarkets that are vegetarian, we just have to keep our eyes open. Also, if you have enough money, consider taking a monthly trip to that "vegetarian" store - and loading up on all the goodies (soy milk, veggie burgers, and so on).
Good luck!

I think that taking vegetarianism too far is not required at all. If you think, that you are harming living beings by eating flesh, think of plants also as living beings. You cannot avoid killing something living in order to eat for your own survival. This is the way the world works. You must consider what is good for your body and health and not bother too much about eggs in soups. I used to like eating chicken but one day i saw the butcher cutting up one chicken and it was horrible. From that day, i lost interest in eating chicken. That was 5 years back. I am not averse to eating chicken but avoid it if i can. Important thing is not to be fanatical about being vegeterian

Bein non vegetarian getting to vegetarian is bit tough but can start solwly lookig
at the benefits of non vegetarians. Non Vegetarians may not have sharp intelligence
quick grasping power compared to vegetarians. Vegetarians can spell crystal clear due to smootheness of tongue but this is not the case of non vegetarians.Non Veg contains lot of fat which creates maximum disorder to health. To have a control on health and to avoid health problems at the early ages, old age we need to be vegetarian.
