We all know that majority of people who went to the stadium in india and filled the stadium were just because of the fact that it consisted of 7 indian players and then international players..
But as we know that this time it is gonna happen in south Africa, so will this time public will go and see the matches with the same intensity, or will the fate of IPL will be like that of ICL..
very few public...
Only people will enjoy these on TV..
so how the teams gonna get moral support out there..

Well! True is the fact that IPL may not be a big crowd puller in SA this time! But our country has too much of political stunts and our politicians politicize every small/big issues!
SA may not have such a great crowd puller and I am sure that BCCI is expecting revenues out of telecast rights this time more than the actual crowd in stadium!

ya i think that the only revenue for BCCI this time will be the telecast rights...
coz we have a lot of matches, and the local people won't be interersted in watching them all..

As far as television viewers are concerned there will be not any problem as the matches will be set in the prime time as the T20 World cup...however, in stadium the number of audiences will be expected to less...there are so many matches and to maintain the enthusiasm for the whole 59 ties is difficult...Despite the fact that there are so many native Indians and the capacity of the stadium is less than Indian stadium, I expect less audience there....

hii abhi,
i don't think the crowds will be anywhere near to what we got in the last season when it was organized in our country. But the stadiums are not going to be blank thats for sure, there are lot of Indians living there in Africa, and over two million people are expected to fly from India to be there in matches. Also if you remember last t20 world cup, the matches which featured Indian team managed to get huge crowds. So people will go to see the matches, but surely far less in numbers than what we had last year. happy mylting
