Recently CE of India slapped restriction on Varun Gandhi, the young BJP candidate from Philibhit and he has been jailed. All this due to his hatred speech . Do you think such stern action against any politician who violates CoC should be penalised? Pl. share your views.

It should be penalized for making such hatred comments and creating a communal disharmony in a secular country like India. But how far he can be penalized? How can you avoid such people or comments? I don't feel these politicians from all parties are so keen on secularism. They are very keen on vote bank politics. That's why these comments are given such a great importance and given publicity. Varun Gandhi came to lime light because this comment and he becomes a hero to one group in India.
It is all because such a big publicity given to the issue by opposition and blame games on media, few groups supporting him while few opposing him etc. Nobody is worried about common man's expectations out of this election, but are more worried about stopping their opposition parties from coming to power.
All in All, such remarks must not be allowed in countries like India, but even if made, should be penalized and people shouldn't entertain such publicity given to such issues.

Thanks a lot for your time and patience to read my response. I love to write and love to help people becoming people informed about these issues which affect their lives. I feel it is our (educated peoples) responsibility to help getting our country out of these issues.
I am not a person of any political party, I never bat for any party or person in particular even though I vote every election based on various information I get out of my analysis. I know that my vote counts in nation building task.

Before elections you can see what BJP has done in way of Varun. So its highly improbable that NDA will win, only UPA will be victorious.
