What type of oven you have in your kitchen? Is it on gas or electricity?
It is an ordinary oven or a special one?
Do you think gas oven is cheap or the electricity one?

We have a gas operated oven in my home. We had actually planned to originally install an electric oven, but ended up with gas in the end. I have no idea which is cheaper, but I would assume that in terms of safety, it is better to have an electric one. Gas can leak and is toxic, whereas you would not have this danger with electricity. Safety is always the most important thing and I kind of wish that we at home had stuck to our original plan of getting an electric oven.

i have a electric oven and i also have the microwave and i feel this both are really comfortable and also usefull as i cook on both of these, but i am not able to understand what is gas oven or are you speaking about the oven with a gas stove, if that is the case i feel that there is no difference with the oven with a gas stove or a stove with electricity and both works with electricity i feel correct me if i am wrong and both can be used alike.

icegermany,
Gas oven is supplied with gas for it to fire the burner. it has nothing to do with electricity. the electric oven on the other hand is supplied electricity instead and the burner is heated up with the electricity flow.
sorry if i was unable to say it correctly

We have an electric stove. There's no gas in this house. I have no idea if gas is any cheaper than electricity. I've never had the experience to know these numbers.

I have a gas stove. I was always told that gas will cook more evenly than electric. I don't recall the pricing differences on either type as it's been several years since we had to shop for one. Mine is nothing special, though it's got a digital clock and controls wich was "hight tech" in a way at the time.

I used gas oven and sometimes charcoal oven. With the higher electricity rate in y country. I avoid using electricity based type oven. I have electric pot and oven type use for baking and roasting meat. I often used it now and only use with a special occasion. I really save on my electric bills if I use the charcoal type for cooking barbecue meat and to boiled and soften meat like beef which require an hours to get tender. Such as in roasting chicken and fish wrapped in banana leaves or aluminum foil. The natural cooking is very delicious and with slow cooking. The flavor is really absorb by the meat and aroma is very tempting to smell. While I used the gas type oven every morning when preparing fast breakfast for my niece as she hurry eating in going to school. using those alternatives type of oven really helps in terms of savings.
