How many Cat Scans have you had in your life? Do you worry about the health effects? I had maybe 5 or 6 of them not sure exactly.

Hi moneymommy..I have had many many cat scans in my life..I never worry about the health effects. I worry about what they are or arent going to find..lol.. If theres a chance they can find something and fix it, thats all I care..I dont really think they are all the dangerous..Who knows..but usually the reasons I have one in the first place are more dangerous than the test itself, so no, I have never really worried about the effects, just glad they got around to doing something .

I was reading an article and it kind of alarmed me. But I guess if you need one you need one.

I have only had one. Thank Goodness first that I dont have the health problems to need one, but then secondly I do worry about all that radiation that it gives off. I mean we dont even use a microwave around our house because I dont believe in the radiation or any food could be good for you that you zap in 30 seconds.

I've had one. I have migraines and one night I had one that got so bad it was kinda scary. So I went to the ER. The doctor decided to order a scan because this headache was different than my typical migraine. Thankfully nothing showed up on the scan. I left the hospital about half an hour after getting a Demerol and Finegrin (sp?) injection.

I have never had one before. I have not had a reason to have one done so far in my life. 5 or 6 is quite a few CAT scans.
