I don't even need to say anything.

"JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms." Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an "axis of disobedience" along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq. "
Those are the views of the man on track to become one of the US government's top lawyers: Harold Koh........ [/i]

With every action he takes as president Obama shows his hatred for the constitution more and more. Parated stated in another thread that he doesn't think Obama has ever read the constitution. I told him there and I'll say it again, I believe he read the constitution the way an atheist reads the bible. He looks for every way to criticize, discredit, and thwart its application. If voters actually LEARNED about their candidates before voting more people would have seen this coming.

And demand a legal birth certificate Taskr. I just got off the phone with the US Embassy in London trying to find out about getting my husband a visa. He is asking for nothing from the USA except to live there with me, his wife. First of all everyone I spoke to was either Scotch or Irish and I could barely understand them not to mention the fact that it was costing me £1.20 per minute $1.62 at todays rate of exchange. After about 20 to 25 minutes I know no more now than I did before the phone call other than if we file here it will take numerous trips to London and up to 6 months to sort it. Well I will be back in the USA in a few weeks and my Congressman & Senator Durbin of Illinois are going to hear from me. Added to all the hassle you have to have an appointement at the Embassy and on the day of your appointment you have to stand outside - no matter what the weather is like until they call your number.

he knows the constitution and what it says, anyone with an 8th grade reading and comprehension level can. He chooses however to see it as a thing to be tinkered with, twisted and when it suits him, outright ignored. And we're to blame. for too long, we too have ignored it and the fact that our government has ignored it. We allowed them to do this. No more. Enough.

Yes, he does hate the Constitution, and everything this country has always stood for. He is a traitor that is out to destroy the US totally. He needs to go.

I heard that President Obama is looking for more Muslims in their government. He's probably the first of many that are about to surface. What do you want to bet he's associated with CAIR?

seems to be the trend doesn't it. I never bought in to the whole "nwo" conspiricy before. but it almost seems like they took the idea and ran with it. My concern is he is advocating interpreting the constitution based on something that does not even exist in the constitution and would be in many cases, completely at odds with the constitution. It is, by genuine deifinition, treason.

I think that judges in America should follow the Constitution and not international law unless it is going after war criminals like the Nazis who were murdering all those Jews and non Germans during the Second World War and also that guy who murdered all those intellectuals in Cambodia. If he interprets the law according to his view, then there will be the case like here in Canada, when those who are native Canadians or aborigines get lighter sentences to the same crime - murder for instance - then those who are non aborigines.
And for Muslims, especially Muslim ladies they will be condemned for something that the non-Muslim ladies will not be condemned for. So it will be a different standard according to what your ethnic group and your belief is.

Obama is a traitor, and he is filling the government with traitors. I think the NWO is a very real threat now. All these traitors have to be removed before they total destroy our national soverengty. I knew even before he was elected (if you can call it a real election; there was too much cheating going on), that he was anti-American. To bad everybody else didn't realize it and not vote for him. Now we are in a very dire situation.

I have no idea who this man is but if you want an objective analysis of who he is and why Obama picked him I suspect the New York Post is not the first place to look! The bit about sharia law in particular looks like an obvious red herring designed to whip up hysteria.
If this is a sign that the Obama administration actually believes in the rule of international law then it could be the best thing that's happened to your country's reputation for a long time. I always recall George Bush being asked whether the Iraq war was in conformity with international law, and he screwed up his face and repeated the words "international...law?" as if it was the first time he'd ever encountered such a weird concept.

"JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms"
That was the line that pretty much got me. The constitution has zero room for the lwas of other nations to be applied in the united states. Our laws are based on the constitution and the constitution. the acceptance of a law based on a laws in another country and not in accordence with the constitution is an act of blatent treason.

Many of us were concerned about his associations with some radicals. To quote one of his associates, that he disavowed to get elected, "the Chickens have come home to roost". Why should this surprise anyone. Speaker Pelosi tells us it is Un American to want to protect our borders. If appointed this man will take an oath to Uphold and Defend the Constitution of the United States. If he doesn't he should be impeached, which will not happen with the Democrats in control of Congress.
Maybe this is a smart move on the Presidents part. This guy can find legal ways for President Obama to declare himself President for Life. At the rate he is gong he will not survive a reelection bid if the opposition puts up a decent candidate.

Hi x...This does not sound like someone who has America's best interests at heart. In fact this is tremendously disturbing. I still don't understand why so many people want to change this country. There are so many other places around the world where they can live in their "paradise". Mr. Koh, Please go to North Korea, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, etc. and see how far you get with freedom of speech! Why don't these people just move when they say they will?
