Is it Embarrassing being a "VIRGIN" in the present time?

It is not a sin or embarrassing being a VIRGIN! It shows purity of mind, strength of mind! Also in modern era, even if one person loses her virginity due to a relationship which fails later, she has to feel sorry, not the person who is VIRGIN. Whatever your friend faced is a bad experience, but tell her to be honest with herself and strong with her will to answer such people who make fun of her. She is perfectly right in that sense and she has power to oppose these kind of people. World is a mixture of bad and good people and as modern era is taking our lives to tip of mechanical life, we are tending to get changed! So these kind of people increase in number and tend to convert others who are good too to their group! We need to fight against them in all the way! Good luck

Remaining a virgin or not is a personal choice and its simply wrong to make fun of a person for their choice. I mean there are many more things to life than just sleeping with someone. Your friend is only 21 years old..she should not fret about this.She should concentrate on the direction her life is taking. As far as the virgin part goes, when she should do it when the time and person are both right.

You should be proud of it, cos at the moment Virgins over here in my country's traditions and in African tradition in general, they(virgins) are admired like Queens and Kings. I and my girl friend are Virgins and we look forward to be like that until we say I Do if God wishes. i do not know if it is embarrassing being a virgin in the present time but i am twenty years old and i am still a virgin because i become ugly thanks to an exstepfather i have a cross in my forehead caused by a car accident but the picture i have in my profile is me.

I dont think there is something embarassing by being a virgin. Im 19, and i decided to maintain it and give it to my husband in the near future. Its just about preferences and how you want to live your life. And im very proud of it. I also believe that culture and norms affect people's view with it. Like for me, i am living in a country that majority of the people are conservative.
