I keep reading in magazines how some families have a special night of the week for family time. Usually they play some kind of game on these nights. Our family doesn't have this special night but I think I'd like to try it sometime. Do you have a family game night?

No, we don't but I wish we did. I love having the kids over and playing games with them. We do that on holidays. I keep telling them we need to do it at least once a month at someone's house. A different house each month. But so far we haven't done it. Maybe when my son comes home from Texas with the Army, we can try doing that. I love playing table games.

We don't have a family game night, but once a month we have one with a bunch of friends. It's a great excuse to get together and see each other, life gets so hectic we don't have time to just hang out together like we used to. It's kind of like an open house, anyone who wants to come just shows up at 8 with some drinks and snacks. :D I love it

We had one last year. We did it for about 3 months. My son really liked it. He is now 16 and doesn't have time.

We have one, its fun. Usually it ends with me winning all the games and my kids pouting until they fall asleep. Funday rhymes with Monday!

At one time my family did. And it is sad to say but with lifes crazy twists and turns there is no steady night that we can do this. My work schedule changes week to week and the kids like to make alot of their own plans. So we do try to at least have a movie here and there. Something to just relax and be together as a family when we can. Family game night is great and I would love to be able to do this but we have a hard enough time to even get to sit down and have dinner together more then a couple of times a week. I think that it really helps to keep a happy family. But I will add that when we did do this family game night it many times ended with my 3 boys fighting about one thing or another. I have 3 sons and they find a way to fight about just about everything. But this is just their way with eachother I guess because if it was someone else to argue or say a negative word to one of them the others are there by their side. Go for it. Your kids will grow up before you know it and you should take any chance you can to do something as a family. Enjoy!

We never had a family game night, but my one major rule for my family was that no matter what any one was doing that we all sat down to dinner at the same time. We had 8 children, and it was quite hectic at times, but dinner time was always a joy because we could all sit and eat and talk. and be together as a family. Now that they are all grown up and on their own, and spread out all over the place. If they do not get back home to visit any other time during the year. They all try to come home at thanksgiving. Which is and always has been my favorite holiday.
