Hello ANTIQUELADY! So you and your friend have been friends for over 40 years? OMG! That would be a world record..lol! I hope I could have a longest friend like that but I am only 22 and that I don't have a friend for 22 years..We are only four years together with my closest friend in college but now, I haven't seen her lately..

wow,congrats to you..you found your true friend that you can rely on. It's a very long time that you have been friends. Hope that frindship will last forever. I remember my bestfriend, I hope that we will be like you and our friendship will last long like you have.

That goes to show you are worth being befriended that long. Not all could get friends for life all because some are not really worth the friendship while some are not lucky enough to find real worthy people to make good friends with. Well, I have so many good friends and they have been with me since my adulthood but not for as long as 40 years. But I have one real good friend who has been my best friend for almost 24 years and I believe it will be for life...it's none other than my husband.

That's a wonderful thing to still be friends for someone that long. I have known my friend for 33 years. We met each other in Kindergarten when we were five years old.

oh thats wonderful im so glad for you. its hard for most of us to keep up with family now a days. i wish i still knew where some of my good friends are.

Can't say that I do. The oldest friendship I have is about 15 years. She was my first roommate in the military. 40 years is a long time. I hope that my friend and I are able to keep in contact that long.

Yes that is a long time for a friendship .I can only dream to have a friend for half that time.I hope you will continue to be friends with her for another forty years and get forty more friends as well.I will give her a shout because any friend of your will be a friend of mine as well

I could only wish for a friend that long! I think it's great. I think most people can count true friends on one hand. My grandmother had a friend from the time she was a teen and I wouldn't know what it would be like to have someone I was that close to for that long. They could DEPEND on each other in a real way.
