Just read where House republicans have introduced their alternative to Obama's Socialist budget. It freezes overall spending on domestic programs and repeals most of the spending in Obama's recently passed economic stimulus bill.
It also calls for tax cuts for most of us working class people and overhauls Medicare.
This would be great and would speed economic recovery but for one problem: Bam is unreceptive to ANY republican plan and radical clowns like Pelosi and Reid will never let it come up for a vote. It doesn't fit their Socialistic agenda.

Hi lifter and welcome to mylot...This is news to me! It would be wonderful if this actually happens. We need a plan to limit spending and provide tax cuts for the working class!

Did you really exspect them to be bipartisan? I mean come on. Really. Sure they say the word....but ANY idea the republicans come up with is going to shot down no matter how good it is simply because "it's a republican idea".
There is nothing "bipartisan" going on in Washington right now and Pelosi is the ring leader of it.

Yep, they proved that when the Stimulus bill was introduced. No republicans were allowed to have any input. The One will not even consider a republican bill. Our only hope is some of the moderate dems will support this bill. But highly doubtful there will be nearly enough. Pelosi would punish any dem that did not follow her agenda lockstep.

Of course The Central Committee won't be "bipartisan" on this, to them "bipartisan" means "shut up and do what your told".
Anything that prevents the Central Committee from ramming Marxism up our butts is of no interest to them.
They have no respect for anything but absolute power for themselves. period.

It seems we're in agreement that it won't go anywhere but I think that's because it's just more of the same-old-same-old from the GOP. Cut taxes, cut services, cut Medicare, let our infrastructure continue to deteriorate... It's fitting that they introduced this on April Fools Day!

I haven't looked at it yet so it's hard for me to comment on it. I know the original proposal from them was lacking numbers, but I haven't heard much since. I wouldn't expect it to be accepted, simply because it has a little "R" attatched to it, so of course, according to the democrats, it is bad, must be, it has an "R".
I most of you know by now I'm no fan of the republican party, but i am equally disgusted with the democrats as well. None of those asss hats on capitol hill are interested in anything but being the dominating party and pushing an agenda. and America fell for it again.

Yeah, the 'don't just criticize but show me something better' only applies to 'I will consider it if it accomplished MY goals faster'. There is pretend bi-partisanship. They'll take it, claim they'll consider it, close the door and through it in the trash bin. It's a shame.
Obama said today that we should start spending our money instead of hording it. We need to spend and make an investment into our future. He meant us average Joes with that. I have to ask what money he wants me to spend? With prices rising I'm glad I can still afford to put food on the table and keep a roof over the head. His spending spree will quickly put an end to that, too. Our paychecks will be worth less and less. They are spending money like there is no tomorrow.
