Or do you go to the old timey gas stations to have them pump it for you? For me I always pump my own gas but I hate doing it. especially on rainy and cold days....I dread it.

There are very few gas stations around here that will pump the gas for you. Actually I only know of full service stations "back home" which is about 2 hours from where I live right now. It's nice when you're in a hurry, but typically I don't mind pumping my own gas. It's especially nice when I plan on putting it on my debit card because then I can just swipe my card outside and pump. Most full service stations they have to go inside to run the card, etc. So overall, I prefer to pump my own gas.

I love paying at the pump. I get so frustrated when I go in and there is always someone ahead of me who likes to talk...or the clerk is rude, etc. It saves me this frustration. We only have one or two full service stations. I usually don't use them myself. Thanks for responding.

I pump my own gas, now changing my oil, I reserve that task for those who know best.

I don't mind pumping gas unless it's cold or raining. But I don't usually have to do it because my husband will take my car and get gas for me if he knows I need it. Have a good lotting day.

I gas up my car myself. No matter if it is rainy, windy, snowing, hot or freezing cold! I would love to have someone else pump my gas but I don'y know of a station around that does that! I have heard it will cost you more to have someone else pump for you!

In Egypt and most all other Arabian counties there is no such thing as pumping your own gas. They are all full service stations! Even the window washer runs out to try to get a tip. In the US where I am from I only know of one gas station that will pump the gas for you, and they charge a few cents extra per gallon. I don't mind it to much and I always pay at the pump so it is quick and easy. I do hate it when its really windy or below freezing out.

No, I don't like to pump gas, but as there aren't any full service gas stations around here anymore (at least none that I am aware of) I don't have any choice but to pump the gas myself, unless of course my husband does it for me before he gets home from work.

One area that I go through to go shopping has a lot of gas stations. 3 out of the 5 have workers that come out and pump the gas for you. I love this! Even if it was a few cents more per gallon to go to a gas station that they pump the gas for you I would rather pay more then have to pump my own gas. I hate pumping gas. It makes my hands grimy to touch the same pump handle that everyone else has touched. The smell of the fumes makes me gag its awful. In the winter time its so cold out I do not want to have to be out there in 10 degree weather pumping gas so I much prefer when there is someone there to fill my tank up for me. I wouldnt want to have that job. You couldnt pay me enough actually to ever do that job! I like when they pump the gas for me as well because I have two little kids and getting them out to go inside and prepay and then come back out pump the gas and possibly have to go back inside to get money back or pay more if I go over the amount is a real big hassle. Sometimes its cold and I dont want to have to get them out just to go inside and pay. Its much easier when gas stations are not self serve.

it is a pain to go inside....I try to avoid those stations and tend to lean towards the pay at the pump ones.... Thanks for responding.

I've always pumped my own gas. I'm not sure there are any of those places in my area. I don't mind pumping my own gas. It's not big deal.

I pump my own gas at timees but i do enjoy the places that pump gas for me - i say how much i want then i can go wait in line while its being pumped and its ready to pay for when i get to the front of the line.

The funny thing is that, when I was 16 years old back in the early 70's, I tried to get a job pumping gas at this one station because I liked one of the guys who worked there and the owner told me that girls couldn't pump gas...it was too hard for us. I think about that man every time I'm pumping my own gas...which is every time I get gas. I don't mind it too much because I live in Florida so it's not cold but it is boring...and still too expensive.

I never used to mind pumping my own gas. Now though since I usually have the kids in the car with me I like to let the gas station attendent pump the gas. I don't want to leave the kids in the car to go pay for the gas.

I haven't seen one of those full service gas statons in years. There are none around here that I know of. The last one remaining in our area went out when the gas prices sky rocketed. As far as liking it.....no I don't but if my vehicle is gonna roll I'm gonna be pumping gas!

Yeah I know the small family stations took a hit during that time. The one here I know was hurting but they also have a trucking, auto repair and body shop. So I am sure that it helped ease the lack of sales in gas. Thanks for responding.

I don't like to pump gas, it's always a pain to go to the gas station. There's only 1 station around here that I can think of the pumps gas for you...and that's at a car wash. I think they do it because they want you to also purchase a wash. I like to go to Oregon where it's the law that an attendant pumps the gas for you. Although I usually forget and start to get out the car before I realize...I can sit there and have someone do it for me!
