Learning something new

I want to learn many things. I always had the inclination to learn another language or perhaps a new skill. I wanted to learn how to cook, how to write a book, how to use the internet so as to maximize its advantage. How about you? If you wanted to learn something new, what would it be?

I have always wanted to learn to write a book, so last October I started a course where they teach you how to write children's books. All the course work is mailed to me I then mail my assignments back and then they send my work back to me with their comments. Its great fun so far I just hope that when all is done I will be able to start publishing a few books. That would be great!

I have always wanted to learn how to sign (language) because I wanted to communicate with people who use it. And also I wanted to learn how to type with the computer keyboard without having to look at it.

I've finally realized I don't even have enough time to learn everything I want to. I used to want to learn several languages, now I've decided I'll be happy if I can know one language very well. I tried to learn to cook before and only got to the point where I can survive on my skills, but I'd like to learn more. I've actually started writing books before but even the ones I finished I doubt they'll ever get published. And I always want to learn more instruments. But I don't think I can stop myself on that, I just love music. But I do have to tell myself no at times.

Right now I've been obsessing about learning Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programs, especially SolidWorks and AutoCAD. I have some great tutorials, but I haven't been able to give myself enough motivation to dive in, because the topic is so daunting. I want to design exhibitions for museums, and a lot of exhibit blueprints are done in AutoCAD. Even though I am trying to focus more on the academic/research-related things, I still want to have somewhat of an idea of how exhibit installations work. Hopefully I'll be able to do that soon! And on a less nerdy note... ;-) I really want to learn how to make a proper lasagna! I've been meaning to try this forever, but never seem to dedicate a solid afternoon and evening to this activity. I went so far as to buy all the ingredients, but I still haven't tried it yet!! Soon, someday....

Urge to learn is always a great aspect of any person! If he has that urge, he can be regarded as a knowledgeable person by the whole society. It is good to hear that there is one more person in this group who wish to learn different things and many things in his life! I always wish to learn more and more, that too different things. I wish to become a person who can do all his work by himself! I wish to learn different skills in computer technologies every now and then as I am a technical worker. I love to cook and learn to cook as many dishes as possible. I love to teach what I have learnt, love to learn acting, perform stage shows, write novels! More than these, I love to learn different dances of different cultures and learn different languages of the world! :) One word of suggestion - Keep on learning till your last day, as it keep on filling the otherwise the idle mind and gets lot of respect from others and keep you as a guide to others. Learn from people, books, internet, music, movies etc from whatever means possible. Every thing in this world has something to teach us! Keep on Learning!

I actually want to learn C++ programming and how to make a indie video game or possibly a game MOD. I would also like to learn either Spanish or french (the language of love ^^). Possibly learn how to weld or something like that.
