How long have you been trying to lose weight? if it's just been a few weeks, give it a little more time. You will not really see results at once, specially if you aare too conscious about it. Are you doing exercise with this? Lessen your food intake, specially carbohydrates, gradually but not COMPLETELY as it will make you sluggish and weak. Avoid sweets and caffeine. Sodas will not help either. Keep yourself hydrated with water. Lots of it. Don't dwell on it too much. You might end up being a walking calorie counter.

Foods are essential body needs. We all need them to grow, glow and go but we also need to burn them out by doing something. Try walking if you can't jog, try dancing, swimming, gardening or anything that will make your body move. In my case, i did reduce my food intake specially rice, i drink plenty of water and do some walking in the afternoon everyday. The result is fantastic! Did get my body weight's desire but it takes time. I've been working to lose weight for 3 months before i saw an effect. Good luck in your struggles! Wait and see... You can do it!

write down everything, i mean everything that you eat. keep a list of the foods that are low in calories and allow yourself to have more of those every day. plus, dieting is not enough, you have to excersize too. walking is a cheap and easy way of loosing weight.

hello mz_ira, I would just like to say congrats on wanting to do something for yourself! thats the first step. I am also on a diet and have been for three months. So far I have lost around 16 pounds. I would suggest going to the webside webmd and taking their test to see what your bmi is. This is your body mass index. It will tell you what catagory you fall under ( just right, overweight, obese) it will also tell you how many calories you need to consume each day to lose either one or two pounds a week. ( you get to chose how much a week you would like to lose) One pound of fat is equal to 3,500 calories. So if you cut your calories by that each week with exercise and eating healthy foods you will lose one pound a week. I would not recommend trying to lose more than two pounds a week. It is very unhealthy and most people that lose weight really fast cannot keep it off for long. Slow and steady is the right way to do it. I also recommend buying a really accurate scale. The one that I bought doesnt just round up it gives you increments. This way you can see your weight loss throughout the week even if it is only .2 a day. That really motivates me at least. As for eating right make sure your eating lots of veggies. I always limit the amount of red meat I consume because its so unhealthy. Try meals with chicken or seafood such as shrimp or fish. Seafood is rich in omega 3 which is really healthy. Also if your a soda drinker, like I was I would limit or cease to drink it at all. Its useless calories with no nutritional value. Try milk as a alternative, after awhile my cravings for soda diminished and I actually crave milk now! :) Drink lots of water as well, its great because it has 0 calories :) As for exercise I currently run on the eliptical a few miles a week (anywhere from 10-17 miles) You need to work your way up to this however. I also do workout videos and since I love dancing so much I purchased a dance workout video and it is awesome! Pick something that you like that will keep you moving and your heart rate up. I hope this helps. If you have any questions just message me. I have read so many diet books and articles I could probably write a book myself. lol

Make your proper work out plan. Like wake up early in morning. Go to excercise. Take healthy diet. Give prefernces to fruits and vegetables in your diet. Avoid too much fat.

I wish to suggest one thing for weight loss for you - more work! :) Seems to be very simple words - but very powerful too! More work doesn't only mean that more work out sessions in Gym, but you should think of walking for your health. Walk all the way to work place, market, shopping etc. Walk and walk more instead of Gym. Along with this walking, try dieting. It will surely yield better results! I am practicing it myself. So have seen the proof!

Eating less does not mean that u will be able to lose weight ^_^ It depends on what u are eating and what time u are eating.. For example, if u skip lunch, but u eat alot for dinner, and that's not gonna help at all.. ALso, if u are eating too little, u might end up snacking more in order to fill up the emptiness in your system.. Try to take breakfast instead.. By doing so, it's able to keep u quite full till lunch, and thus u wont eat as much.. After which, have some healthy snacks or snacks with more protein during tea break ^_^ Thus when it comes to dinner, u need not eat as much too because protein is supposed to fill u up ^_^ Lastly, a weight loss programme is never complete without exercises ^_^
