to be honest i never read my responses after post it from my first reply yesterday! i do't think you can make a mistake all the time ,and if it's a small miastake the other people remain understanding you ,the mistake should be ignored.

I'm guilty on this, although, often I read my response before I decided to post it, but sometimes, I find it disappointing on my part that I was so careless with the misspelling still. I am still grateful with the pc whereby mylot has underline it red when misspelled. But then again it still happens on two or three words I have typed.

I have worked for newspapers as a sub-editor and, although that doesn't make my typing, grammar and spelling perfect, I hope my posts are reasonably literate. I never pick up anyone else on their mistakes because some people are good at such things and others are not. I could, for example, edit your post and find quite a few errors but they really don't matter as it's a post that's perfectly easy to read and, more importantly, interesting and thought-provoking. I think problems arise when the spelling and grammar are so bad that you really have to struggle to make sense of it. Of course we should all read through what we have written carefully, just to make sure it's clear and not impenetrable to the reader but I'd hate it if people felt constrained just because their writing wasn't perfect. Sites like this would then be peopled by boring old pedants like me! What you have to say and your opinions are more important.

Sometimes I do read my response before posting but often times not. I feel guilty in doing that but it seems that I have this habit that I immediately hit post response without proofreading them. But I am trying to make a habit of reading it first.

parthu28 yes I do read my response before I post it, but sometimes errors still slip by any one of us. so if others have errors too I just consider that they miss one or two and go on reading and responding. we are all only too human and humans make errors and even after editing sometimes we miss those errors.

i completely agree with you Hatley.... because i feel here at my lot, what matters more is sharing our thoughts n ideas rather than clinging to words n spellings!!!!!!!!!

Yep, though now and again will make a little boo-boo - never bother with the preview thingy though, that seems a waste of time if I've already checked what I've written. Guess if you're first language is not English, it is probably easier to make mistakes...

And guess what, I have made a mistake - you're should be your.

I do if there are not many responses to that discussion already and well we come from different countries and English is not a language of everyone nor all are as fortunate to have studied in good English medium schools like you so there are bound be lots and lots of spelling and grammatical mistakes.. all it matters is what the person is trying to say as this is not an English test or something.

Hi there parthu28! Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But more often than not, I go over what I have encoded before I hit the post response button. There are instances that I discover a lot of errors. Not just typographical errors but also errors in grammar and other similar errors.

I always try to because I know once you hit submit it is done, there is no editing allowed. I wish we could edit but really it is no big deal.

Hey there! No, I admit. I don't check my responses before posting it. After I finished typing I just go ahead and post it. And there are times that there are errors in some of my post. Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

Hello parthu28! Well, I am guilty of not reading my response before sending it especially during those times that I am too lazy to read it first..hehe..But sometimes, I do check it especially the grammar and the typos but actually, I feel tired of doing it sometimes..

I was reading through this one and smiled when it came to the word "dose" or should it be "does" I normally try to read through what I have typed. Normally I do correct any typing mistakes as I go. Then read though it after. Then post. Some times, some mistakes make it through. So hwo dose it gose? sorry. I couldn't resist.

I started NEW discussion headed by topic:"earning" but I wrote "ERANING" and I didnt corrected so that the topic was "eraning", and I was surprised that it got the lasgest responds among my other started discussions! I got usually not more than 5 respond but with this wrong topic I got more than 12 responds! hahahaha (lol) even I have ONE topic wihtout any respond... hahahaha ... happy myLoting too!!!

I don't read my response before I post it because I know what I was saying when I posted it. Unfortunately with me I know that even if I do reread the likely hood of me not having typos is slim to none. LOL!!!

This is a real problem, I always type very quickly and so goes with many error, this can not avoid but write slowly and check it over when I finished this response. I rarely check my posts after finishing it, though error exists and also I know this, but a little error should't impact its meaning. Peole can understand what I say, that is it, it's no need to be too serious!

I try to but sometimes I just get a brain fart and hit post too soon. I am also not always good at proof-reading my own stuff. I wish we could edit our posts, even if it only allowed for two hours after, like some sites that I belong to.

I usually reread my responses before I post, but this does not mean that I catch all my mistakes. Usually what I miss is a misspelled word due to a typing error.

Yes, I always read my responses. The same thing happens to me, too.
