it is your duty to inform hisp arents for his own good because by the time they notice the changes in his behaviour it may be too late,

If you care and don't want to break the trust, hint to his parents about what is going on.

Even though he might have sworn you to secrecy, he's betting his life on what he's doing. This is one time you can't keep a confidence. Tell his parents. If he gets mad, wait; he'll get over it.

Whenever I struggle with telling someone's parents secretive information I ask myself, "If it were my kids, would I want them to tell me." So ask yourself and then do what you think is best.

Yes you should have a word with his parents I think then let them take it from there. It might be a while before they notice anything. If he entrusted you with the situation I trust you already gave him some good advice.

Dont nark on him that is stupid. Go join him or get over yourself. He will eventually get out of the phase and move on with his life so mess up things for him. If you feel it's a problem for him then go talk to him yourself.

i think that you should probably let his parents know, you never know what could happen and then you might think if only i told them....

I think you should say something as some people may not be as observant about things as other peopleare.
